Default Custom Firmware: Media Edition
This thread is to discuss and get help with this Custom Firmware for use with MPH's Firmware Launcher:

I have loaded it. First FW I have successfully launched with MPH Firmware Launcher. I don't see any big difference. But the AVC doesn't excite me that much. If he gets GTA loading or the Web Browser working then I'll jump for joy.

Upgrade to 2.6 then you could run whatever ISO's you want.

No, but what they're hoping to do is to make it so it doens't run the ISO
s but the UMD's. And has anyone heard of the rumor that PSiX might have a PRX emulator so you can run any UMD that needs 2.0+ without tricking the firmware?

cause there is no eboot last time i checked, it is a dump of the firmware with the extra features put in. And if you flashed your firmware with this it would brick.

It only has the version 2.0 codecs. And there is no web browser, only support for AVC and (i believe) the photo types.

It never said it would run ISOs it said it would run 2.0 UMDs, but yes you do need kernel acess for ISOs. What Gameshark is trying to do here is get all of the 2.0 features (2.0 games, web browser, codecs) with 1.5 security to run homebrew. I mean theoretically you probably could run ISOs with this if it is fully completed, but that's not something to discuss on this forum. Since you have the ability to play 2.0 games just go out and buy the game!

It keeps crashing, I got it working once but when i put atrac3+ on the memory stick it wont work now.
