Ok, Im a relatively new PSP user. but ive been reading up on homebrew, downgraders, v2.60 - v1.00, and hacks. All everyone does is complain about how someone should do something and i mean its understandable but, think before you talk, check before you post. So let's do something. for example, today i was fiddling with my PSP files on the compy and accidentally deleted the PSP folder from my PSP and was like "o poo." So I got a file recovery program and used it on Drive F: and i found all these cool files i didnt even know existed in my PSP other than all the ones I had before i deleted them. Its using programs like this, having occurences like this that move the work along. And seriously, if you back-up all your files, there's not too much that can't be replaced if u screw-up. I found files like MEMSTICK.IND. I had no clue the file existed, but it obviously has somethin to do with the Memory card. Just use ur knowledge and use trial and error.
Another thing, I was wondering where the PSP uploads the new versioins of Firmware to. there is obviously some place that its stored so the PSP knows to tell u that you have no need to upgrade cuz ur already at version 2.60. If we find where this information is saved, whether it be hard or soft, can't we just swipe that memory and upload a new firmware and none will be the wiser.
Im a noob, sorry, talked too long. lol :)
