So have you ever been playing some RPG on your PSP and you get stuck, no clue where to go and your family is currently diriving 3 hours to that grandpa's house who doesn't even own a T.V. let alone a computer?

Well, I was wondering if any emulators have a built-in txt or pdf viewer so you could just select the walkthrough you wanted, skim through it and then go back to the game without having to close the emulator.

I'm not sure if this would be too much for the RAM on the PSP to handle, but I just thought of it and was wondering if it's been done.

No I don't think that feature is available in any of the emulators. I would like it to be because like you, I think it would be a lot easier to read the text files inside the emulator.

No, none currently have that feature, but it would be a good addition

Never understood why people use 'walkthrough' guides for games instead of just figuring it out for themselves... Even worse, the people who buy for example, a Final Fantasy title and the guide book together!

a) use toothpick on elevator
b) add NoseGooTM to antimatterdistortionfeild
c) combine 'newly formed green hole' with 'elevated toothpick' when the wind is N-NE

ring any bells? sometimes developers make puzzles that only the zanyiest mind will guess. the alternative to repeatedly trying everything for days and giving up is using a guide. its not always the best way (sometimes perservirance works) but when the puzzle turns out to be 'you need to click on pixel 27j' which is the same colour as the ones around it, guides are really handy.

I really only use walkthroughs for replay value.

Once I beat the game I'll look at a walkthrough and see what I skipped (side quests) or missed (secret items) and such.

Look at the Suikoden series, 108 stars you have to recruit, although it only really requires about 70 recruits, but still, it's a pain getting all of them on the first time through. (Especially on Suikoden II how it's timed to get certain people)
