I dont really know if it is smething so please dont blame if it is not!
A few days ago i read about some secret position on the power switch that no one new how to use. There were no discription for how to put it the power switch in to that position so i just started to experementate. What i found out was a little surprising for me cause i never heard about this. The thing is that if you put the switch in to position between normal position and the hold position and turn on the usb mode PC wont recodnise our PSP as it usually happens it will say that it found a new device without a driver for it. At ferst i fought that it was just a bug on my PC but then after doing it a few times i understood that it is not. So this is presisly what i did to jet that. -first i turn my psp on -then i go to system menu -then i put my psp in hold mode -then get the swith nearly to the normal position so that in hold sercle i can see like 1% of that yellow that i normally see (this is not so easy to do so it doesnt worck all the time) -then turn the usb mode on I hope this can help p.s. Sorry for my english i am from Russia |

i do not know my pc simply says that it doesnot recodnise the device in the usb and that it has no drivers for it. Automaticly searching for drivers doesnt give any effect....
so i really dont know i have v2.01 if its important |

Im going to try that, and master shake, that link in your sig, when the guy upgraded his firmware, cruel. PSPHAckorz, or whatever, was wrong in doing that, and what ever people say about isos, and stealing, that is wrong, and not amusing at all. I think a mod should remove that link as i find it to be offensive.

BTW: The mods removed my link to it and I really don't care, we were just having a little fun.

Im just saying, that bull. It was cruel no matter what you think. I didnt even giggle, it wasnt funny at all. I have nothing against you, you just showing people how some people are stupid, and others are cruel. Maybe PSPHackorz should update and see how it feels. We are all n00bs, just because he was going to use an iso, doesnt give ANYONE the right to do that. I belive inky is right 100%. Now, on topic yet again, i havent gotten it to work how it should, maybe something im doing wrong, i dont know...

actually please lets get back to topic cause from my n00b point of view it might be usefull.
What i just found out that it worcks only in the direction i showd it If it didnt work for the ferst time (the switch was not in the wright position) the exit the system menu go to the browser(without opening it) then get back to sys menu and try it again. I dont know if i am wright but maybe in this position of power switch we can accses flash from the pc. Did anyone tryed it and did it worck? or maybe its just a bug in my PC USB ... p.s maybe i should try to make a video but the problem is that my web cam is very(1998) old and that all my system on PC and PSP is in russian. I tryed this and couldn't get it to work, but if you want to mess with the drivers you can while it's in USB mode anyway, but theres nothing you can do with it.
I have a 1.50 so it might be why i cant do it because I got it about 1% like you said. |

idk ill give it a try real quick though
edit - Ok well i think i almost got it, i did exactly that and i got that hourglass thingy to appear next to the mouse for a second, but nothing happened. But i have an extremely loose hold so its kinda tricky and i only got it once so far. Ill work at it and see if i can confirm this. but that hourglass could have ment nothing since i was also listening to music, and downloading something. But downloading never causes the hourglass and same goes with windows media player. So it might have worked Last edited by Killer 7; 01-18-2006 at 04:43 PM.. |

I just tried this and it recognized it everytime from a half up to fully up.
I remember someone brought up on ps2dev forums that it was a four state switch. But i think it was acounted for as off / standby / on / hold. I'll have to read through it again.
