i was just wondering what Psix was? and if i am correct in assuming it is a firmware, does anywone know if it will be able to do homebrew like 1.5, or 1.0, and still play all psp games?

Psix is a shell for the PSP. This program will run like any old eboot file and will act as a replacement for the PSP's "OS" in a way, but it will not remove it or replace it. Check out PSP-OSS (a shell for the PSP already released).

It does not replace your firmware at all
