Developer's Note: I have a 1.50 PSP and i didn't really feel like upgradeing then downgradeing tonight just to test something that should work seeing that there was no real editing to the code just swaping of PRX files. ;)

Features for Firmware 2.00:

• Load UMD's with CPU clocked at 333 and GPU clocked at 166
• Restore/Edit XMB Menu Names (Can't use PSP Menu Edit by Loco for Firmware 2.00)

Features for Firmware 1.50:

• Load UMD's with 2.00 or higher support (Has not been improved)
• Load UMD's with CPU clocked at 333 and GPU clocked at 166
• Restore/Remove asura effect
• Restore/Add custom backgrounds
• Restore/Edit XMB menu names
• Version reminder removed due to complaints

Features for Firmware 1.00:

• Load UMD's with 2.00 or higher support
• Load UMD's with CPU clocked at 333 and GPU clocked at 166
• Restore/Remove asura effect
• Restore/Add custom backgrounds
• Restore/Edit XMB menu names (Can't use PSP Menu Edit by Loco for Firmware 1.00)

This agreement is due to FlashMod being Open Source and Public Domain which could cause people to download a Version of FlashMod that might not be from Orbis PSP Development. So for yours protection I urge you not to download FlashMod if it does not say Orbis PSP Development. As for people that want to release their own version of FlashMod please tell me before releasing any unofficial versions.

I Agree by downloading FlashMod Version 2.0 that I relinquish Orbis PSP Development of any liabilities concerning the software effect on my PSP.

Is this possibly harmful for your PSP? Does it invalidate the warranty? Can you downgrade to 1.5 still, if you're using 2.0 and use this FlashMod?

Well, does anyone else know how to edit the RCO file so I can change my menu names? A hex editor? (you should really put in a README, Ichigo).

Nothing changed as far as launching 2.0 games on 1.5 he stated that. It will still launch IE Not freeze at the same point, but its still unplayable.

After this gets some improvements for 2.0 UMD loading on 1.5 I am going to have to downgrade back to 1.5.

Can I still downgrade normally? could I just restore default setting and then downgrade?

how do you make it work.... you should really add a readme or something. Do you just start up flashmod, go to the load UMD thing, then go back to the loader menu, then just start the umd or something? Since lumines doesnt start directly from flashmod.

how do i get my custom wallpapers to show up? I put the backgrounds named as 01.bmp and 02bmp in the default bg folder.... im probably doing something wrong. any ideas?

Make sure you have file extentions shown for known filetypes.. Go to your PSP folder and go to Tools< Folder options<View tab< and select "show file extentions for known filetypes..

and if they are 01.bmp.bmp then thats your problem

Hmm, it doesnt seem to matter...I edited the default topmenu and selected "restore default menu names" from the list....still no dice..I have tried it all!!

Ok about the umd overclock thingy again.

I have tested it with many games now, and it does work. You'll see a big difference in the load time (the opening) for gta mainly though. All you need to do is start up flashmod, go to the start umd (i think with the umd case opened it will say add umd) after you go to that, press x. Then go to the exit, then exit the eboot loader (by pressing start). Then leave the umd case closed so the umd starts up right away. The soft start should not effect the overclock if you did it right.

what are they supposed to be named? i have extensions shown adn they are for example, 01.bmp.... what are the full instructions? the owners site is over its bandwidth and there is no readme....

Example..HOW THE HELL DO YOU CHANGE THE MENUS ON 2.0!!!!

I have tried EVERYTHING, the 1.5 utility, Hex editors on both the default and ROOT top_menu_plugin, loaded both on the app...

It just makes no sense

the background is all screwed up - resolution is 480x272, i bet they have to be smaller dont they? the selected item has a big flashing box around it

I loaded Eboot loader
.loaded Flash Mod
.then after that im in the flash mod menu
when i click X to laod the UMD in 2.0 it just there nothing happens wat do u do?

well There isn;t realy a point to doing that unless your overclocking it, to do that you overclock by loading the UMD in, then you exit out and exit the eboot loader by doing the soft reset, now leave the UMD in so it autoloads and you should have an overclocked UMD!
