Default [Request] Lumines Homebrew app

It would be really cool if a homebrew version of Lumines was released. Maybe the dude who did Bejeweled would like to work on it because the graphics on Bejeweled were really good. I've heard it's a pretty simple game, get some nice graphics and some fast electronic/techno music. Anyone else think this would be really popular?

Sorry if were not allowed to make requests :naughty:

UBI-SOFT would have that shut down in not time flat. One thing game companies are always doing is protecting their copyrights.

A development team was doing a 3-d remake of scenes from Chrono Trigger (and it looked hella awesome) for example

Square-Enix shut it down

If that was to happen then what would be the point in buying one of the greatest games for the PSP? Lumines is too good to be copied, just buy the game and play it.

People have made Lumines for Windows. And plus it would be just like the Tetris homebrew games... it wouldn't be a rip just a copy of the idea.

*Shakes head* This idea is retarded.

It's a game for the PSP, that took months to create. You want some home-taught hackers to make you Lumines?

Retarded. They teach Tetris in computer classes, not Lumines.

Dude, the reason Lumines is great is not just "good graphics + techno music = cool game."

It's the way the gameplay, graphics, and music (which is from just about every genre there is) all work together and compliment each other seamlessly. Tetsuya Mizuguchi is a genius, and that's why this game is great. No homebrew could ever compare.

Just buy the game man. It's amazing. The must-own title for PSP. No matter how much you play it, you always come back for more. I've had mine since the launch and I still find it unexpectedly sucking away mass amounts of my time. Just earlier today I had just meant to play it for a few minutes and it took up two or three hours of my time because I got so engrossed in it. I alllmost beat my high score on Lights (248,085 points).

You got a pretty good high score on Lumines!
*turns on PSP, boots Lumines, goes to score rankings*
Whoa! I just beat you by like nothing! 248,235 points. 150 points!
*starts Challenge Mode game*
I can get that many points within 10 seconds.
*goes to Single Skin Mode*
The last song I unlocked was Get up and Go... maybe Lights comes right after that.

lol. Hate to burst your bubble, but I think you misread my post. The high score I listed was for Lights, and Lights only

My challenge mode high score is 470,445
