Oh, and the reason the time doesn't change in gold/silver versions of pokemon is because the game has a built in "battery pack" running on very low power which captures the time based on power lost and whatever time you originally had it set for.
So, homer I hope you release the new version by the time I wake up! Since im US, it's 3 hrs after when you wake up so put it up by 8 AM uk time please?
HandiKap, yeah. That's what I have to "emulate" to get it working. Although so that the clock changes when you don't have the PSP turned on will be very hard or impossible.
I could really need a beta tester right now so that I can release the new version.
for what firmware?
Ohh.. Yeah, for someone who has the menu problem when it hangs when you try to open it.
oh, i've never had that problem,
btw, thanks for your work
I have a beta tester now. So there are no more spots.
Expect an update soon.
It's more than likely going to be impossible because right now you have no way of putting it in sleep or anything along those lines while still emulating.
You might be able to have it correspond to the time recorded on the psp... but that won't be possible until we have flash access... which may not be for a long time.
Version 1.3:
*Multiple saveslots
*Empty saveslot indicator
*Custom background
*Frameskip change
*Delete files in load rom dialog (press Circle to confirm, Cross to cancel)
*Removed one unessecery screen size
*Menu hang fix (not sure)
Download
Thanks Homer! :D

Few things.
When loading/saving a state you MUST preform an action, the cancel button does not let you leave.
Save states have no date/time. Would be helpful but not neccessary.
The save state area sometimes gets overlapped with text when changing the screen size.
When saving/loading a state and the states become the active menu the "save state" and "load state" options overlap the lower states. Just visual confusion - not bothering any saving or loading that i can tell.
Frameskip goes no lower than 1. Maybe 0 would be good too? incase no skip is needed?
CPU clock is now blank and not functional as it always was. Most roms with this Emu work perfect speed. Is it evne really needed? Just a suggestion...
otherwise its all good as i can tell...
great work homer ;)
I think that a FPS Limiter would be great ;]

agreed, sometimes it just runs TOO fast :)
Run games with a frame skip of 1-2 rather than 3-5... it'll help slow it down.
hey, nice update homer, but i have a quick question. i had v1.2, and i want 1.3, so i just changed the eboot, and thats it. it loads the emu, but whenever i choose a game, it freezes. is there someway to solve this?
Zitat:
Zitat von HandiKap
maybe its true, but imo its not the best way to fix it. if you have a framelimiter you always will have the game speed as how it was made. Frameskips makes the game looking less nice.
Thanks Homer :)
question: The image in fullscreen mode is a bit pixelated, is it possible to use the GPU to filter the image? And if it is, will you try to implent it some day?
About Pokémon Gold.. can you not just get the time from the PSP and somehow give it to the game? ... Or is that accessing the kernel?
ummm homer the game crashes when trry to press l1 wit r1..........
in the new version does it still crash with L + R
It shouldn't crash. It was beta tested before release, it should've been fixed.
And dod, do you have version 1.3?
The new version doesnt crash as my psp used to with the previous version sometimes
The only time i have seen this crash is if you press triangle to quickly when the game as just stated playing other than that it's a great emu so far.
Good job Homer. ^_^
1. I know about that. And I was going to fix it but forgot it since when I uploaded it I was in a rush.Zitat:

2. I tried to find a function for that, but unfortunately I couldn't find one. It'll probably be included in the next release.
3. Fixed.
4. I'm not sure what you mean by this. Could you be more specific?
5. True, fixed.
6. My beta tester had that problem too. I'm not really sure how to fix it. I'll have to look at it.
Sorry, not possible. That requiers kernel command access.Zitat:

Homer, what about the frame limiter ??, sometimes the game runs just too fast =]
Yes, I'm going to look at that too.
thanks for the quick reply, we are waiting for the next rls =]
i can't see the player while playing Pokemon Crystal.. anybody knows why?
hours before i have seen him
OK, im about to try your 1.3.... I'll take some shots of the new menu and games and stuff if it works!
What do you mean you can't see the player?
If you can't see the sprite there may be a problem with the rom.
Oh, and PSpunk your Location says you see satin... I believe you mean satan :icon_cool lol
Okay, well.. There is a few bugs in this release that I'm currently working on fixing. So I suggest you wait for a couple more minutes until you take some screenies so that I can fix them.
Hey, homer how do I change the blue backround which you said works? I want it to look really nice! Who me, your releasing a fixed one in like 10 minutes? I just replaced my eboot...... but ill wait.
You make your own background and save it as RINMENU.BMP
Can I just use one of my wallpapers that are 480x272(since I have over 200)? Also, yes, this 1.3 is about as buggy as 1.1, homer... I think you should you know make sure their not bugged....Zitat:
Zitat von HandiKap
Yes, you can. Just save it in the RIN folder and rename it RINMENU.BMP
Well.. When I released this I was in a rush and I just wanted to release it before I went to school. That's why it's buggy.
