Streaming means that it reads small pieces of data from the file instead of reading the whole file. And that means you'll be able to play just about any mp3 file, may it be 2MB or 200MB.

Yeah I know what streaming is, but I was just making sure you were talking about streaming from the mem stick and not from something like internet radio...that'd be crazy. Anyways, this is looking great. But like I said, it's gone way beyond a GB/GBC emulator...
I think this will come out quite soon. She's done like everything.
Is it still going to be 3.3. I think it should be 4.0.
It should be Homer's RIN PRO 1.0... :DZitat:

Good, you're coming with suggestions for a new name. I need one :)
YAY! The new Update is coming! I can't wait! The file assistant thing being able to look at your flash concept is cool, MP3 player! So I could also have a strategy guide, gotta catch em all(400 :b(hax0r)) I can't wait :b
And while we're coming up with names, I say call the GBA emu Homer Advanced and call the new GBC update Homer's RIN 4.0 bot 3.3...I mean c=such a giant update shouldn't be such a measely number...
BTW, 190 posts inh this one thread
or Homers Rin X 1.0
that sounds good heather
God damn, this should be like a Homer's RIN 5912345.0, there's so much stuff in it! Wow Homer, P-R-O-P-S.
Are You adding rar support because I remember you saying you were.
The only open source rar unpacker I've found is for rar's packed with winrar 2.0... So I don't think so.
omg u adding rar support homer/ heather they might make u admin off the 2.01+ threads
Why would I want to be an admin? Or even a mod for that matter...
Anyways, I just messed up the code big time. So I'll have to reformat it some, shouldn't take too long though.
what other features might u add in the future?
100000$ says homer is hot!
=D
lol/stay on topic
Heh, Sorry.
I'll have to bet against that...Zitat:

Anyway, I'm really tired now. I'll continue with the prog tomorrow after school.
see u tommorrow homer
Why would you need RAR support? That's worthless. Stay on the stuff we need, that, we don't need. Stop being cheap and go buy a memory stick, I don't even have a game in ZIP format.

oh my GOD
I literally can't wait! I know this is a stupid question, and I'll get flamed for it, but: when can you estimate (ASSUMING no problems arise) the next version may be released? SO many new features..... I'm so excited!
i like the Rin Pro 1.0 name that pretty much sums it up. I don't like the Rin X name as it has nothing of meaning? why X? because it sounds "cool" i think not, but its upto you homer.
Homer, look for the 7zip library, its open source, and it supports everything afaik ;]
You are adding quite a lot of extra features that will make the gaming experience better. Listening to my music while playing (but won't the mp3 player drain too much memory needed for the game emulation?) and reading faq/walkthrough will be really nice. I think these two should be in every emu!
About the file compression zip is more than fine for now. 7zip will surelly be great (not now) but when you start looking at the GBA source (if you intend to dev it that is). But take your time with RIN.
For background, having only one file type will surelly make it easier on you. I mean png seems to be the best format and even the MSpaint allows you to convert the file types. I personally recomend Paint.NET or The GIMP (for win) which are great freeware apps.
And how about GPU option for the ingame gfx? It sure looks great in the latest NesterJ!
Are you going to do a new menu or just solve the home button issue? If you're doing a new one you should take a look at the NCDZ menu. It's really well organized and the animated icons look really great!
Why don't you release a separate File Manager with the picture viewer, music player and the obvious file managing operation? I even have the source of the FileAssistant 0.04 if you want to take a look at it... Else I guess I'll start to use Rin to do the whole file management :p
Well good luck coding!
the x stands for extra featrues hmmm....... think before u make a cheapy comment about a nameZitat:
Zitat von chaoskingz
yea wont the mp3 drain the battery in like 1 hour or something
why would it? Just listening to mp3s from the PSP menu the battery lasts for nearly six hours. There's no reason you shouldnt be able to play this emulator and listen to mp3s and retain normal battery life.Zitat:
Zitat von Tito0096
then the emu would porb go realy slow but idk what heather is up to with thye mp3 support idk
Battery life isn't a problem, what is is that in-game it lags some. But only when playing mp3's, ogg's are nearly flawless.
well thats good so it laggs when played?
say something bout the gba emu !
shes working on it damn she tired of people saying whatb about the gba emu or when is it going to be done she would say something if it was done or any big milestones or if it was almost done
I'm not flaming, im just saying my opinion. If you know what a flame meant you would realise that is it a derogotary comment aimed toward he poster (in forums) and i didn't actually say anything bad about you, all i said was i don't like the name you can up with and that was my opinion only, hence i said "It's upto you homer" at the end.....Zitat:
Zitat von Tito0096
If i called you a n00b then i would be flaming for example, however i didn't even though i think you....nevermind. i didn't flame you, so you should "think before you post"
i forgot the word for cheapy comment so i said flaming
even if its "cheapy comment" which is it not everyone still entitled to their own opinions...you would go far with remembering that.
dude sry but i had a bad morning with posts (n(.)(.)bs) any ways all i ment to say the x means extra features
Can't wait homer. Don't listen to all these n00bs, the GBA still sells games and stuff, so I don't think she wants to get into that. Keep up the hard work, Homer, I love your Emulator.
Oh -- And I like the Name
"GameBoy RIN X" or "Homer's RIN X"
she's already said she would look into itZitat:
Zitat von Al2x
I know, but there are still bugs in Homer's Rin. We gotta make RIN perfect, then move on to other steps.
yea like i said to all noobs
