well dude when I load up the rom and I select cheat it loads but then I can't go back to select cheat it dosen't go to select the cheat plz help

k I wguess I will take a look but I got a question can you guys take a look at my tcb file plz and I have not done all the settings for it I just wrote it all down and sent it to you guys to see whats wrong

OK. Well first off, it's .tch, not .tcb. Second, your cheats for "Master Ball" and "Rare Candy" won't work. What you did was copy the digits for using them in a cheat, but didn't put them in the cheat. What I mean is, say there's a cheat that says "Buy Any Item Instead of the First Item at a PokeMart" Then it gives you a code for it like 91d3XXcc (THIS CHEAT IS FAKE, I JUST MADE IT UP). The XX is supposed to be replaced with the digits of the item you want to buy. So you'd subsititue the digits (which should be on that same cheat site, maybe lower down) for the XX and then you would put that whole cheat in. What you did was just copy the digits for the items, rather than inserting the digits into a code and copying that. I hope that made sense...If not I'll try to explain it better.

o I got the tch part but the rest I just copied and pasted the codes here is the site and if you look at the items it just saids rare candy and under it just said 1

OK, I'll try to explain myself better. I assume by "Rare Candy" and "Masterball" in your cheat you want to have those items. So here's a code that will change the first item in your pack to any item: 91xx93d8

Now, here's where the numbers you got come in. Replace the xx with the two digits of the item you want to replace the first item in your pack with. When you go to that site it tells you the digits of all the items. For Master Ball, it says 1 (which is really 01) and for Rare Candy it says 20.

So what you would want to do it insert the "01" for Master Ball and the "20" for Rare Candy into the cheat I provided, replacing the 2 x's.

So to change the first item in your pack to a master ball, you'd use the code: 910193d8 and for Rare Candy, it would be 912093d8. Do you understand? The same goes for Pokemon and Pokemon moves. Whenever a code says "Catch Any Pokemon in Wild" or "Change Your First Pokemon's First Move To Any Move", You'd copy that code, then scroll to the part where it tells the 2 digits for all the pokemon (or pokemon moves), and you'd change the XX in the code they gave you to the two correct digits for whatever pokemon or pokemon move you want. Does that make sense?

Other than that, your cheat file was fine.

Homer. Ive been getting some issues with the .cfg files. No matter how many times i change the configuration to what i want, it still doesnt stay set when i restart RIN.

Anyone else getting this issue?

OK, I'm positive this has been asked before, but I don't want to look throught 113 pages of this and a search didn't come up with anything. Anyway, I'll just ask away. Homer, do you plan on adding Wifi to this emulator? That would be extremely awesome and I would love you forever!!

You cant have Wifi on anything untill the Eloader allows it. At this point Wifi is unable for 2.1+ users...

Oh wow I'm retarded. I'm not on 2.01+ and I totally forgot that this was initially made for those users. What about a 1.0/1.5/2.0 edition with Wifi? Will there ever be one of those for us with Wifi capabilities or is this still a RIN just for the 2.01+ users?

Go into the file browser, search for the png image and press start. On restart of RIN the image you selected will be the Bg.

Ok. When selecting a rom, go into the folder that has your backgrounds in it. WHen you find it select the one you want and press START. The Emu will load it for a minute and then nothing will happen. So, restart RIN and then it should be set.

The file HAS to be a png file too

Okey! I enter the "backround" folder. pushes start on one of the ".png" pictures. restarts homers rin, but nothing happens.

This whole emulator doensn't work on my psp, but i really want to play it.
I have read many posts here but it still don't work.
Ik have a 1.50 firmware, and the latest Homer's Rin 3. Ik have put the files like this:

E:\PSP\GAME\RIN <---here are 19 roms zipped (i have renamed them to Mega Man 1,
Mario Land 1, Mario Land 2 etc.

E:\PSP\GAME\RIN% <--- Here are the extracted Rin 3 files, the maps backgroud, cheats, config, save and the EBOOT.PBP.

It gives me this error: This game cannot be started (80010002)
What am i doing wrong?

P.S. : i know that Homer's Rin 3 is optimalized for higher 2.0+ but hopefully it will also work with firmware 1.50.

Usually for 1.5, NOTHING except the smaller eboot goes in the percent folder. The bigger eboot and all the other stuff goes in the non-percent folder.

But i have only one eboot.pbp (670kb)??? This one came with the Rin emulator.
Must i have another eboot then?

Homer I know this is made mainly for 2.XX firmwares but I downgrade once in awhile to test out new shells and I love your app. Anyway could you add in some home button support for us 1.5 users?

[edit]I'm kind of weird about the way I structure files. So I put all my ROMS for a paticular emulator in the folder one level above the GAME folder. So My structure is PSP-->ROMS-->GBC
-->SNES

and so on. Anyway could you add something like what TYL has where it remembers the last directory you used?[/edit]

Hey, just read the news homer! Congrats, made the cover again, at this rate you'll be a mod soon. Just tell me something everyone, is 3.1 worth upgrading my RIN? Because My comp is starting to hate my psp leaching on it.....to put it differently, It takes awhile for my comp to accept my psp....
