Ok first off is it possible to emulate 2.x since we can run homebrew on them through GTA? So then 1.5 users can use the dumps on MPH firmware loader? 2nd ly does anyone have a 1.00 dump that is usable w/ the firmware loader? 2.60?

Firmware is able to be emulated on 1.5. Not on any other fw's other than maybe 1.0. the firmwares 1.00 all the way to 2.5 work. No one can post a firmware dump because its copyrighted material. Just grab an eboot and fakeupdater and it only takes like 5 mins.

I was wondering just which are the new PRXes that are needed for GTA:LCS and Socom. Also their location in the flash, i.e. flash1:/vsh/resource... or wherever. Anyone know?

I believe it currently can't be dumped correctly.

The Firmware loader is used on 1.5 to emulate fimware versions higher than 1.5. It isn't very stable or useful at present. It's intended use is to allow the use of the browser, codecs, and required games.. not to run homebrew.

The 1.0 dump, if available, is copywritten code and is not to be distributed by any means on the forums.

If you have a 2.60, then firmware emulation is irrelevant to you. As far as emulating 2.60, MPH hasn't gotten there yet.

I think you can use fial assistant to see what PRX's it need off the UMD

The UMD's that only look at the ver.dat can be tricked into playing on 1.5. Mose new games use a new encryption that won't play on 1.5 because the PSP can't understand the game (games like GTA are like this).
