Release - Magic 8 Ball
I spend a good part of the night writing up some code for a simple Magic 8 Ball progam. If I get positive feedback on the project I intend to continue on with it and make the program much more complex. It is written in Lua, only tested in LuaPlayer.14 on a 1.5. Well, everything else is in the readme, so here it is...
I've had a few errors, mainly with filestructure, so I released v1.1, with a few image changes among the fixes. V1.1 can be found at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DWNLV3ZA
Ok, I just made a standalone eboot.pbp for the file, it can be downloaded at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5KKRM73R . Hopefully this one will soon be hosted by the fine folks here at pspupdates.qj.net soon as well. (Please )
Nice release, needs some work, but the kids at school have had some fun with it. Add some background music and some animations and I think this will be all that much better of a release.
where do you click to dl it?
i got to the screen where it says how big the file is and what its called and underneath its about uploading but no dl button................... ..
Should be in the top right area of the screen (1st quadrant of your screen) and should be in a little bubble area (sometimes covered by a stupid ad)
ahh i remember the magic 8-ball... brings back memories of my childhood... now if only someone would make a speak and spell emulator for the psp.... that would be perfect
Did you download it manny? If so, got any feedback for me?

Hey, I made a smaller version for you, check the attachment.
It is basicly just a more cleaned up code, 2kb, 69 lines (with explanations for most of the lines)
Since you made all the images and its your idea, I cant take any credit for it, but you might want to look at the code and see how it works and maybe use it as a reference for your newer versions. I also fixed the bug where if you push square again, it does the same 'random' quote.
http://lua-users.org/wiki/TutorialDirectory is a VERY good site for learning lua, thats how I learned most of it.
Hope you like it
[EDIT]: New code, 66 lines, I fixed your shaking code...heh... I copied part of your old code and realized you forgot to blit 'left.png'! So I put that in there...
All the MegaUpload files are coming up corrupt. Please upload your files directly to the forum by using the Attachment feature.
the file on the frontpage download link is an cleaned up lua version...

in the lower right edge a pice of text saying : [X] To ask another question =)
