Zitat von DarkJC
For all those asking for another way to load 2.0 UMDs on 1.5 without the use of this "piracy tool" as it has come to be called, I fear you may be waiting a long time.
I am not a PSP developer, but because the files on the UMD have to be decrypted and then replaced to maintain the original file structure, I think it would be pretty hard to not only decrypt them on the fly, but point the game to the new directory on the memory stick when it searches for the "encrypted" files.
I'd love a tool that let us play our UMDs directly, but this is what we got. It's a step forward, but I think that direct 2.0 UMD support is still a long way off.
EDIT: I also find it quite ironic that a tool the entire community has been clamoring for (PSP Updates administration too if I remember comments thrown into old news posts here and there) is being viewed in this terrible light. People are going to pirate games. They have already been pirating all games below FW 2.00. I'm glad MPH released what he had now, rather than try to figure out native UMD support and release it much later. Another thing I find ironic is your stance against piracy. Sure, your reason may be it's "unethical" but your actions say you only ban it because it's illegal. You seem to have no problem plugging new "deals" and "discounts" at some of your favourite MMORPG currency selling sites. While not illegal, that is certainly just as unethical, and it really lowers my opinion of the site when I see contradictions like this take place.
