Errr Piracy? I did read the policy... Maybe I am confused, im not trying to load an ISO image of the game, I have an actual copy. Im just trying to get it to work. If I am still outta line here, let me know... Ill shutup, but I honestly didn't think this portion was illegal or considered piracy.

Even if you own the original game, playing via the memory stick while your original copy is still playable is illegal. We will not discuss loaders installations in anyway, even if you own the game

does initial d use the same protection as gta and others? is it realistic that initial d will work with future versions?

Oh my fault, I was under the impression it would boot up a hard copy of the game, not a backup copy on a memory stick.

I think the misunderstanding is that Drunken_Ghost thinks that the Game Loader is able to load the UMD on v1.50 rather than using the ISO to load.

The word is that MPH is working on a version that will allow you to use the UMD of a 2.0+ game, not only an ISO, so you might want to wait a little while. ;)

Yes, you can just upgrade to v2.0 to play GTA and once the UMD Game Loader is release you can downgrade back to v1.5 to enjoy the other homebrew not available for v2.0.

Thanks for supporting that too, hope it's not just a rumor because I'd rather not fill my GB up with just a single game and instead use a legal copy.

and thats only 1 game! i have about 4 2.0 plus games that would suck

Am I the only one who couldn't boot the GTA .ISO without the GTA UMD in the drive? If I tried to boot the ISO with a different UMD in the drive then that game would start up

You need to run an emulator to emulate the .ISO first. Just read the directions. I don't think I can elaborate more than that.

One more quick question... If i pop in LCS... and hit the upgrade button on the PSP, will it update to 2.0 or 2.6? I don't want it to upgrade past the point of no return... I wan't to be able to use the Downgrader.

GTA will upgrade your PSP to v2.0. But I heard of cases where upgrading through the UMD has a higher probability of bricking the PSP rather than downloading the update and upgrading through the memory stick.

People have been selling homebrew on ebay since june.

this isnt true. the update from the disc would be the same as from sonys site.

I'm only reporting from what I have read from the past. I have not personally tried this. It is the decision of the one upgrading to use the UMD or the MS.
I would think that it would be safer to upgrade from the MS, but that is just my gut feeling :p

i can get gta to load but then it says "error reading the grand theft auto UMD" ne one else having this problem? can some one give me a hand please

correct me if im wrong, but i thought if you legally own the game you were allowed to make backups for personal use, just like from CD's to MP3's.
