Games are wayyyyyyyyyy too slow for me. I own a 1.5 PSP and curious to know whether there is a program out there that is able to run the UMD at 333 or does this just apply to loading ISO's?

Well I know a couple of ways. The most legitimate one would be flashmod.

or pspinfo i beleive .. i have never tried neither flashmod nor pspinfo due to the fact inever needed them...

edit: your not going to get it to load any quicker as the umd drive is like that...

yeah, I have the same question only for 2.0. Would fastloader work, I want to load Socom at 333 mhz. ? AND YES I OWN THE UMD !!! Maybe flashmod ...any ideas ?

Try flashmod. I know that Ichigo made a 2.0 version.

On older games you could use Devhook - I run my WipEout Pure UMD through it @ 333mhz.

well on fastloader (i heard this from a friend

) there is an optionto set it to 333 mhz and also to launch the inserted umd...maybe those two options put together= umd "overlclockin"

Thats what I do to run Armored core at 333mhz

Runs nice and smooth. :icon_smil

Thanks for the replies....

Issue is that BoF requires 2.0...just like socom.

Someone mentioned that the UMD is limited therefore its the only bottleneck. Would there be any difference then to run them in 222 compared to 333. For other 'forms' of games, running them at 333 is much faster but thats because its using your MS as opposed to the bottleneck (UMD drive).

If you overclock the umd it will run smoother. Loading times there are berely differences. But overclocking a umd will give you better performance.

Fastload does work, i use it while playing metal gear acid (UMD)

I guess u cant load it with a 2.0v psp .... oh well I hope a patch comes out for the save to truly enjoy the game at 333mhz

ya, but you could alway downgrade and get the IR shell since then you can overclock and listen to mp3's while playing a umd
