System.dreg/Font Discussion

Hey, Freeplay, I'm on my psp now with file assistant 0.04 and there are no files available for viewing in flash0:/kd/

I just edited the system.dreg to load up ms0:/FONTS
I copied EVERY file there, and i still get BSOD, I'm gonna try again

Still getting a BSOD, I did run it through the fixer, It came up with something about valid this or that, It's not a looping BSOD either. I am on 2.01 UK, maybe a different checksum?

Ah wait, a third time and i get a looping BSOD, does this mean anything?

Does anybody want me to video this?

Make sure you get all the fonts. Also try keeping the length the same. Try ms0:/fontmod

if u have a digital camera try video taping all of it to help other devs.

I am just uploading now, When it is done i shall link it, be warned though, they are large (81mb total!)

Hold on, I've just thought, i bricked my psp last week and got a new one (same firmware though.) I have forgotten to get the new registry files!

Do i need to fix the ireg file aswell? Skylark, In the next version of your fix-up proggy, could you make it so that the new file goes into something like C:\parsedreg2\fixedfiles\ system.dreg instead of overwriting please.

You should drop the ireg in there too for this to work yes. After that just copy them both and voila. Changing the fonts will make the system run slower, and have some weird bugs and crashes.....but be patient

I have a digi camera, but ATM im at school, and that would be a huge video(size wise)

TO, I got the same BSOD loop, could you post a .txt file on filefront please wth some step-by-steps, maybe then I'll notice what I'm doing wrong.

Ya, ill try and get to work on writing one now..but it will have to be from memory, since im at school.

BTW: What do you all think of Sony's new added features...i find it funny that post is right after our font post of the front page
