Too bad, was going to use that :(
It isn't completelt compatible with the web browser, all the buttons are there but the browser tends to randomly crash also.Zitat:

With enough reverse engineering it will be figured out which ltn* fonts work which functions, and then you can keep the ones needed for the Web Browser and stuff.
How did you do that screen shot? did you use some home brew?Zitat:

EDIT:
you know what would be killer? a homebrew that lets you switch fonts.
Can we request fonts?
what would you like?
^^Hey nice font before, I am using that in a game I'm making.
Fyrehart, do you think you could post a quick guide to making custom fonts? All I need is a real quick overview of what to do. Thanks a lot.
Here;s are some I think would be nice (just some suggestions)

http://www.dafont.com/arwing.font

I just did a little research for all of you, who don´t want to keep your custom font on your MS. You can copy them to flash1 on EVERY firmwareversion. Just take your ltn0.pgf, and make 15 copies of it. Rename them so that in the end you have ltn0.pgf, ltn1.pgf, ltn2.pgf, ..., ltn15.pgf. Make another two copies which have to be renamed to kr0.pgf and jpn0.pgf
You should have 18 files (ltn0 - ltn15, kr0, jpn0) which should be all the same except the filename. Launch your PSP and start FileAssistant 0.4. Navigate to Flash1 and create a folder named modf. Dump your registry and change font path to flash0:/modf. Fix it using fixupdreg3. Get Dreg and Ireg back to registry path and restart PSP.
Advantages: No space on MS needed for custom font, PSP seems to run faster
Disadvantages: I couldn´t discover any.
Actually, Fyre, http://www.dafont.com/angies-new-house.font would be awesome looking...... so... here's a request... maybe? :)

torro: FINE!!! =P
i'll get on that one right away
Sorry, I wrote, that your registry should point to flash0:/modf , that was a typo i meant pointing to flash1:/modf

This would be a awesome font.
torro: the last one you posted:

goddamn, your fast!
And now for my tutorial:
1) Download (and extract) the Batch file I made and posted (not necessary, but nice):
Post-http://forums.qj.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=544
Direct Link-http://forums.qj.net/attachments/psp-homebrew-hacks-discussion/3093-system-dreg-font-discussion-batch.rar
2) Download (and extract) ttf2pgf:
http://ftp.toc2rta.com/ttf2pgf1a.zip
Now if you don't know how to change the system.dreg correctly, or haven't yet (making it load fonts from ms0:/fontmod), go here and read the description. (ignoring the TO's font part).:
http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Font-Customizat...5399/catid/114
THEN... Go to a ttf font file website (like www.dafont.com )
Find a font you like.
Download it (will be a .zip or .rar).
Extract it to the same folder that the ttf2pgf program is in.
If you use my batch file, make sure your PSP is plugged in. If the drive letter is not E, edit the batch file in notepad to reflect your system. (pretty obvious change). Then rename the .ttf file you extracted to "download.ttf". Run the batch file. You should see a command prompt come up and some text running on the screen, and the PSP USB bar should be moving. When it stops, fully restart the PSP. That's it.
If you dont use the batch, go to Start...Run and type "cmd". navigate to the directory of ttf2pgf. Run: "ttf2pgf downloaded.ttf ltn0.pgf" . Then copy the ltn0.pgf to your fontmod directory on your PSP. To make it better, do it for ltn0.pgf through ltn15.pgf. (which is what my batch file does.)
Hope this helps,
fyrehart
EDIT: Changed Batch file link to actual post (for readme-type thing)
Woot! I'm not sure why people would want this, other than not wasting memory stick space, but I made flashmod have the ability to flash fonts to your psp. I was sooo freaking scarred I'd make a bricker but nope, got it to work just fine! You can set a font by placing it in the ms0:/fontmod folder and opening flashmod, going to the xmb, and chooing "Install Custom Fonts". To reset the fonts choose, "Restore Default Fonts". I'll release the actaul program in a new thread and after I add instructions in the .rar. :-D I know its not much, but it is my first program that uses the flash and people said it could not be done.
You tried this with 2.01+? I am wanting to try it just so I can get the same speed I had with no fontmods..Zitat:
Zitat von Addy2k
@Protoss It worked just fine on my 2.6 PSP
I'm on 2.6, BTW.
I'm going to quote my tutorial for those that only read the latest posts:

I dedicate my 1000th post to fyrehart and his help

can u psot all the font link since i dont want read all these pages
you mean 1000th ;-)
First of all... NO.Zitat:
Zitat von Harry1
Second of all, start on about page 45. That should take a chunk out of it.
a mod should gather up all the fonts and put them in one thread so they are not hard to find.
Does anyone know how to add the shadow effect to the fonts.
humm can we plz get the shadow fixed I really like those shadows.
omfg... nobody knows about the shadows yet. please don't request things here. this is for discussion, not requests (although i didn't mind doing a few font requests for those who wanted some before. now that there's a tutorial (written by me!) here: tutorial, i won't be doing any more requests, and there shouldn't be ANY more font requests.)
http://eatsleepgame.googlepages.com/Airstrip.zip
There is Airstrip, a nice blocky font...Seems to be a bit too large for some areas, gonna see if I can reduce the size a bit.
Preview: http://www.dafont.com/airstrip-four.font
Sorry, don't have a camera.
how about font size then how do we set different font size?
follow the instructions in the ttf2pgf readme.
I know a lot about shadows! :) In fact it's pretty simple to get them... I'll probably add that in ttf2pgf soon, along with horizontal and font-advance scaling.
What bugs me more are the problems with the Internet Browser. I have some ideas on that and will probably set up a WLAN at home to check.
awesome news!
if you want you can include my tutorial in the next release of the ttf2pgf, skylark =P
Cool, cant wait..awesome job:)Zitat:
Zitat von Skylark
wow thx cant wait to see itZitat:

yeah but is there any way change the font size by modding your batch programZitat:
Zitat von fyrehart
Yes add a number between 1 and 35 after every line.
