He said it right there.Zitat:

Correct..this really is now moving towards an exploit in the system.dreg itself and not through the dreg AND fonts as originally intended
ANYWAY, how the complete checksum (md5?) going? Im looking into the system.dreg and more about it...
Well, the concept of a brute force algorithm production program is a bit beyond me. You'd essentially have to test an equation of an unknown degree, an unknown number of variables, and an unknown number of pieces. However, if we somehow managed to magically get the right equation, it would spit out a checksum identical to the correct one for a known chunk of data... so it could work, in theory. It's just that the execution of such a brute-force technique is far, far beyond the capabilities of the PSP, or most PCs for that matter.Zitat:

How would we go about finding the checksum for each setting? Any ideas yet?
I came up with the idea of disassembling parts of the firmware to check. flash0:/kd/registry.prx seems like a good place to start :)
I thought we had zero flash0 access, I can't access that file using my psp File proggy! :PC: (If Pc's were psp's)Zitat:

Are you on 2.60? We have 100% read access to flash0, but some files are encrypted and FileAssistant can't copy them. 1.50's files copy just fine, though.Zitat:

Nope, if you noticed, I'm a 2.01 Beta tester!Zitat:

I'll check my flash0 in a minute with fileassistant and see who was right (99.999(re-occuring) percent chance that you're right though) and then edit this post.
EDIT~
Ha! I was right, I am in flash0:/kd and i can't see ANY files in there at all! I am using FileAssistant 0.4 and there is nothing! But i could be doing somethign wrong so...
