I remember along time ago a program was released to mod the bootup video. I know it was a little dangerous etc, but can someone refresh my memory on the name? I love searching for stuff and not knowing the name of it

and also.....anyone know of a converter? i wana change the bootup to a video from the tv show Sliders...one of the white slides as a bootup would be dope. Thanks for any imput people !

Look into PMF files and creating them. I cant go into detail on this board since it's not allowed.

But that intro video you see when the PSP starts is a PMF video file and it can only be a couple of seconds long.

**BTW: Dont confuse PMP Mod video files for PMF. TOTALLY different.
Look for posts made by a user named: "eyesonme" on some of the PSP hack forums.

a little dangerous....no, very dangerous.
many people do not do it correctly, or do it right and it still goes wrong. you get a semi brick. can't boot any game or umd or even update!
i would not advise if you don't want to lose your psp.
pspset you will want to search for if you still feel like doing it.
be ware.

You can only mod the game bootup
with PMF files, as for the startup on the
actual PSP System is done from ordinary
wavy lines and sce logo etc..

You can change the startup sound but thats
about it.

And there is no converter for .pmf files, you have to rip them from YOUR OWN UMD games, then rename them gameboot.pmf, and they can't be bigger then 1 MB.

Thanks guys ^^ Yeah, I already know they are PMF files, but I'm suprised there is not a converter to make them yet!!! If there is, and you didn't mention it because of site rules, well A) WTF a pmf isn't iso ;p and b) thanks for pointing me in the right direction (=
I reckon all the trouble to use some games PMF is lame (unless someone has a badass pmf i'm unaware of???) but custom is key.
Any replies or PM's are welcome ^_~

the pmf is a closed format used by sony, thats why we cant encode into it, plus its illegall because the only thing that can convert to it is the official sony pspsdk
