They haven't released it because they are not done with it.

It's not easy to code a program such as this, especially all the problems it will present. Do not make these useless threads in the wrong part of the forums and ask dumb questions like this.

When they are done, they will release it. Just be patient.

well, it will be released when *THEY* think its ready.
they know a lot of things about it, which none of us know.

its better to delay something like this until it works great, rather than releasing it half-finished and then facing the wrath of noobs.

edit: eclipse beat me to it

it allows you to boot into another shell like psposs or psix even before the main psp operating system has loaded...

basically, same as dualbooting linux and windows on the same pc...

there

Errm, is this even in the correct section? I know this has been repeated by other members, but search before you post. If I had a penny for every time someone posts an unnecessary topic, then I'd be richer than bill gates!

(P.S ~ For those who lack in the arithmatic department, one hundred pennies equal one pound.. aka £1 .. £1 is roughly $1.50.)

Haha, relax. I know it's a hard program to develop, that is why I am so excited about it. Don't try to judge what thread is useless, that's not the way free speech works.

It's not a dumb question. I've seen the videos where it is shown to be working (quite well from the looks of it), and now I'm curious why it's not released yet.

A lot of programs are released before they are perfected. Infact, just about all of them are still quite buggy.

Its not very easy to code from a ELF File straight
to a PRX file. I Am currently trying my own hacks
with prx file's etc and it is really confusing.

Anyway thats enough for me to nagg,
i really want to see this too  .

erm? i thought it was being made so you can have 2 seperate firmwares on one psp. Like having 1.5 Firmware on one boot option, and the newest (2.5 or 2.6 or whatever u want) on the other one that you keep upgrading, Or incase you accidently brick one of your firmwares, you can probally switch it and fix it.

Thats not true at all actaully, And its nothing like the firmware loader from MPH. MPH Emulates firmware from a dump it made.

I know someone was working on a dual boot that has esencially 2 BIOS chips, like a Xbox mod chip, If you hit the switch it will load off of the bios on the chip (could be the 1.5 firmware) or if you dont hit the switch it boots up like normal, competly ignoring the extra chip there, so u could load up 2.6 to play games on your normal PSP, but if u want to load homebrew, turn ur PSP off, hit the switch, turn it on and it will load off the chip loading up 1.5.

The way it could be used as a De-Bricker is if you brick your original bios, hit the switch and the PSP should boot up onto the 1.5 or whatever you have on the chip, go into flash the firmware but right before it starts, hit the switch so it goes back to writing to the PSP's original bios (what you have bricked) installing the firmware so its un-bricked and usable. And somthing like USB programming to the chip incase you brick that, can fix it with your PC.

Just some ideas, most just based on the Xbox modchip though, was big ingo that for about 2 years, even started developing my own until i said **** it that the x3 and xenium were 30x better so noone would buy it.

Trust me, It is not ready for flashing, It may work in a firmware loader that does not need Sony ID's but injecting code into a PRX on the flash mem is much harder.

Thats the dual flash project. Dual boot is just software.
I presume this will invole editing the flash so I say take all the time you want. No one want load of people moaning at them for bricked psps.
