no, cause that would clutter the list up a ton, i like it how it is

and it would take even more memory to have lua support too

clutter up the list? the eloader lists the lua eboots that wont run without the lua player...least you wouldn't have to worry about remembering which ones you need the lua player for...

i prefer it the way it is, personally any lua files i put in lua player and don't use the eboot that comes with them, like hardrive said, it would clutter up list too much and i as i am sure many people have lots of homebrew in their game folder, and eloader already takes long enough to scan everytime. hopefully fanj said he'd look into the "scan once a day/manual scanning by user" in his and ditlews new eloader when it comes out.

I don't think this will work because the lua player has about 15 applications already on.

Lua apps have to work through the lua player.

It's like saying 'can I load the eloader on 2.6 without loading gta first'.

No it isn't.. Without loading GTA now is impossible. Adding the lua player to the eLoader is far from impossible.

even when I had 90+ homebrews on my mem stick the scan time was just a few seconds hardly a long time is it

Judging by recent SVN checkins, it looks like LUAPlayer will be made available as a PRX some time soon.

Considering that we also want to add PRX support to eLoader, it's not a big stretch of the imagination to picture the eLoader being able to run LUA scripts directly.

An alternative method would be creation of a LUAPlayer that accepts a command-line parameter for the script to run.

Neither is too hard, but neither is quite doable yet.

A good thing would be if the eLoader came packaged with LUA-style apps for things like web and file browsing, but Fanjita and Ditlew probably have more important things to attend to, such as simulated kernel access.
EDIT: 100 posts! Yeah!

Actually, that seems like a very good idea. It saves the extra step i have to take to play the crappy snake game that i spend so much time on.

Then just put the lua apps somewhere else and load them with luaplayer. I believe the eloader only looks for homebrew in GAME.

I made a bug fix recently that seems to have made a big difference to PSPMillionaire, so hopefully the next eLoader release will provide full support for it again.

According to the Working GTA list, 1.0a (Using Lua Player) should work with Bock.

First I tried the latest version(1.10 w/patch 2) no luck, so I tried the older version also no luck. :icon_sad:

Any tips to get it to even start PSPMillionaire?

ps - I don't think eLoader should be merged with lua player.
