I didn't know it was so easy, but today I found a way to use xvid and native resolution with pspware
And I created a patch so I can enjoy PSPWare again, I stopped liking it because they have stopped developing new features.
- Replaced the mp4 conversion of 368x208 with xvid 480x272
- [v2] Added subtitle support
- Added higher encoding (1024 bitrate + highquality)
- Added mp3 encoding when using xvid
- Added higher audio encoding (44100 128bit)
- Xvid video are renamed to original video name and moved to dropbox for movies

PATCHING: (open terminal and type)
patch /Applications/PSPWare.app/Contents/Resources/PSPWareHelper.app/Contents/Resources/convert.sh Desktop/pspware_patch_2.txt
#1 The gui isn't updated with 480x272, use 368x208, (can be fixed if you open /Applications/PSPWare.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib with "vi -b <file>" and search for 368x208 and change it to 480x272) Screenshot
#2 The checkbox (Decode movies using quicktime usually keeps the aspect ratio of the movie, if you want it FULL FULL screen, dont check it)
#3 When encoding is done, the encoding icon will be red but its ok, check the drop box! And its ok to remove the movie from the encoding list.
Those who use PSPlayerMT and own a Macintosh and PSPWare and would like to have native resolution video!
v2. subtitle support (drag avi to pspware and have srt in same dir as avi)
v1. xvid and native resolution support + higher audio & video encoding
