Version 1.0 By SamuraiX
With all the significant changes I've made since I started working on BOR/OpenBOR for PSP. I believe that BOR/OpenBOR for PSP deserves a whole number. So here it is 1.0 Updates: -NEW save/load Levels option. -----> BOR/OpenBOR will auto-save the begining of every level. -----> Load level thru menu and continue from begining of level. -Final changes to Memory Thresholds. -----> Default clears memory after every level with large paks introduces longer load times. -----> Enhanced clears memory only if 4 MBytes of memory is left. -Preparing code for PSP 2 player mode. Issues: -Sleep Mode is not supported Yet. -OpenBOR Hall of Fame glitch in main menu. Future Releases: -Wireless 2 Player support -Video GPU Support Usage: - Images and Saves directories are necessary for BOR/OpenBOR. Place them in the same directory as their eboots. I don't see why it woudn't. Version 8 was the trouble some build that had a problem with 2.00 tiff but that was fixed officially in 0.9 I have heard many reports that bor/openbor 0.9 works with every version. And the changes I made to 1.0 should not have affected anything for eLoaders.
I did notice that fanjita's site states 0.8 but it just needs to be updated to 1.0 now. |

Well it still doesnt work...Is this just the emulator?Because it open as an emulator...is beats of rage supposed to be a rom file??Because it doesnt open as a game..And i try to load it but it opens like an emulator/LUA Player...I dont think v1.0 or v0.8 or anything works on a 2.60...

opps. got confused on the site i was looking at. but for and eloader use the 1.0 eboots supplied and directories. then....
search for the *.pak file than select it. It then loads up the game. Beats of rage is a game engine (Like an emulator). You need the pak files (Like roms) to play the games. Last edited by SamuraiX; 03-20-2006 at 01:14 PM.. |

It depends on the mod or game your using... the official Beats of Rage game is 57MB.. but some mods are less such as AvP which is about 20MB.. but that game I didnt really get into.. Might I suggest to you, Beats of Rage II - street fighter edition, Hyper Final Fight, and Double Dragon Advance. Im making a 'The Warriors' mod which will take me about 5 months to do... when I release that I suggest you play that one too

Version 0.8 wouldn't even work for me. I selected my PAK and it exited out. Are there any limits on the size of a PAK or even some games that just won't work? Because I only want to play the Final Fight mods. Do these work? And how do I go about playing them?
Sorry, but I'm used to the Dreamcast BOR. Any help is appreciated. Congrats on the new release though. Thanks for porting this great engine to the PSP.

Wow.. to make a mod is a lot of work, you ask anyone who is making or has made a mod theyll tell you it easily will take up about 6 months of your life.. youd best be ready to put in that time to make a nice ass mod.. but when you ARE ready head on over to http://www.senileteam.com and download the bor editor and get to work.. they also provide you with models and levels and such, but thats like a basic outline from their original BOR but you dont really use those.. you make your own stuff basically.. its a lot.
