Hey, i found this on a P2P prog, it seems real, any one has 2.01 to try it and tell me?

This thread will most definitely be closed once a mod sees it.
If you've found a downgrader and don't know if it works, test it out and tell us how it goes. Not post here to find yourself a guinea pig. That's just wrong.

I have 1.5 and i scanned the eboot, it was 2.6 so i dont wanna upgrade, but it seems a cracked 2.6 to fool the PSP that its upgrading to 2.6 but its really upgrading to 1.5, so any one wanna try?

it's probably a 2.6 update or something if it's around 18mb.

Yeah, but if anyone has 2.01, no homebrew anyways, so try it, u wont lose ur PSP, and it wont brick it.

Here is its readme:

It works!!!!! The real solution to roll back the firmware to 2.00 from 2.01, 1.51, 1.52!! (not tested with 2.5) You must also download “MPH Downgrader” to roll back from 2.00 to 1.50 after this crack. It fools the PSP by pretending version 2.5.
Instructions;
Create a folder for the update data on the Memory Stick.
Download the update data and save it in the "UPDATE" folder
Location: Save in the "UPDATE" folder
Filename: Save as filename "EBOOT.PBP"
Update procedure
Notices
Before starting the update, you must do the following:

Check that the battery is fully charged.

Connect the AC adaptor to the PSP* system and plug it into an electrical outlet.
During the update:

Do not remove the AC adaptor.

Do not turn off the system or remove the Memory Stick Duo* media.
If an update is canceled before completion, the system software may be damaged, requiring servicing to repair or exchange.

After it’s done, use the MPH Downgrader to restore 1.50 firmware.

erm...no.

You can't make threads like this, they will just get closed. When and if a downgrader becomes available it will be on the front page of this website.

Closed. If a successful downgrader has been created for 2.01+ there would be plenty of talk about it on every PSP forum before it hits a P2P program.
