Still if it comes out, i will still be scared of converting ma on pmf file. Like what if i convert it wrong or the video is too long. sO i wil stick with the umd rips.hehhe. I wish for the best of u for ur project

IANAL, but AFAIK it's not illegal if you can create the PMF converter without any use of official Sony SDK material, but purely by reverse-engineering. The reason for this is that reverse engineering for interoperability is generally allowed, i.e. to let your PSP >1.50 play movies at full resolution or use them in your own homebrew EBOOT.PBP files.

Its not fake, i am friends with JoeyT2005 and have actually used it. Seems to work fine playing them, but there is no sound yet.

Converting is being worked on, the top half of the video works but the other half is glitchy.

Ok, now im not very happy with the responses here, it works and im going to upload a converted video of your choice to prove it.

Send a PMF to me and i will convert it tommoro because JoeyT2005 has gone now and he has the files on his memory stick.

I have converted the FNR3 opening PMF already though, so here is the link:

umm, wasnt the purpose of this "revolutionary" app to convert TO pmf, and not from it ?

there is a way to view pmf files on your pc, so its quite possible to convert from pmf to avi...

We dont want to release the app just yet because its pretty buggy and jord is working on those bugs now at his house.

Yes the app will do both, converting to and from, we have the converting from mastered (without sound so far) and now were doing the converting to PMF. Also it does play the PMF files straight without a convert.

We were having problems with it overwriting files every time it opened and then deleting them when it closed. So it extracted the files for the conversion to work, but deleted them after. Now i have deleted it from my system because of that, it annoyed me. He is the coder of the app so i will leave him to fix it. Ill have it back fixed tommoro.

Sorry about the upload time, it takes ages on my connection for some reason.

Ok, fine then. We will give you a stable release tommoro that will only play and convert the PMF. By mastered, i meant the video is mastered thats why i put no sound.

Actually i have NTL broadband 1mb. It uploads at a crappy 12KB/s, check there site if you dont believe me.

I am not lying, were first time coders here. Cant you just give us a chance instead of putting us down. Dont you want this converter?

Wait till tomorrow, if its not real then hurl abuse at them as you please but if they are telling the truth you should all eat your words. We will find out tomorrow.

No problem. No body has the right to call this a fake unless:

They dont release it tomorrow.

Well lets try not to be blunt. ****ing good on them if they release it. The response they are getting from this thread makes me actually hope upon hope they do release it. I realise there are lots of fakes nowadays but that doesnt mean we have to put every one down. If nothing comes out tomorrow I will be very cynical but yet again just because he has made a few spelling mistakes does not mean theyre pulling a fast one on the community. Who knows, he could have been working on this for a year straight, even if it is his first project that doesnt mean its fake. Just show some support until tomorrow at least.
