It seemed in august when 2.00 firmware comes out it seemed like an amazing thing, a web browser on a small system seemed to amaze those who didnt beleive, although we knew that homebrew was locked, many of us updated cause homebrew hadnt reached its peak yet. Than all these homebrew releases followed and all thew 1.50 users laughing at us, than out of no where was the tiff exploit, which gave us some hope but not much, soon followed tetris, some pixel moving thing as a background, and than mph had figured it out and released an actual downgrader, but that wasnt all, out ex-favorite homebrew dev release an eboot loader, although in its early stages, it still played many simple tetris and pacman type games. Although everyone downgraded, Sony announced that the new Grand Theft Auto game would require 2.00 to play with no help from version changers, so people will still thwarted again by having to upgrade to 2.00, with the eboot loader still released, many people ignored it by simply playing gta and its low compatibility. But soon after mph's downgrader, sony simply released 2.01 which was another secuirity block, than released 2.50 with location free compatability. Many people were forced to upgrade by ames they have purchased, ot just simply there new purchased psp's had 2.50 but than sony got ahead of us and found there own exploit and put out 2.60 firmware but with an irs channel. Many eloaders later with the release of 0.9, almost 90% of all homebrew were playable, but people were still updating to 2.01+, and soon a gamesave exploit was found in GTA making many devs want to make games for it, many releases like tetris and mario came out and than fanjita and ditlew proudly joined together and released the GTA eloader beta with alomst millions of downloads, people thought fanjita was god. But he wasnt done, after alot of hard work he was proud to release the eloader for 2.01+ but it was something much different, its compatability was alomst equivalent to 2.00, although this eloader was also for 2.00. than another one came out with just a few bug fixes, and pressing start to not restart ur psp, but simply go back to the main menu. So now everyone is happy with there psp's, but what about fanjita? well he was busy away trying to hack a leaked 3.0 update from sony with no luck, so he needed a new challenge, and now he is going to try to hack the gizmondo, a tiger telematics psp, although my question is, who would be dumb enough to buy a system for 400$ although it had gps, it shouldnt cost that much. So Fanjita announced that he is now retiring?!
So now we thought after all the donations we had to fanjita, all the hard work he gave and all the posotive satisfaction he got in return, why would he quit, why not make firmware 2.60 like 1.00 with homebrew, but iunstead he had to hack a 3.00 fw leaked by sony, although it very well couyld have been fake, it seemed like he didnt give us any information on the fw and what new features were on it. So in conlcusion, the eloader wasnt just a homebrew release, it was a legacy from fanjita, he had made a promise to all of us that he would do whatever he could to get homebrew on all firmwares, and he broke it , so my quesation to you is: Do you think it was worth all the time waiting for a new eloader to find out fanjita quit? of course you will say yes because everyone likes homebrew. But do you think it was worth our time to hae us donate 10-100$ to him for new psp's to test his hacks on, to find out that 3 months after the eloader launch he was going to quit because a very un popular system because he couldnt hack a 30 fw that isnt even the final version, and who knows if sony will let us play homebrew or not. I just wish fanjita could have taken the time to tell us his side fo the story on why he is quitting.
Edit: well, guess the jokes on me
