YES its true its called pspsetx03 for 2.0 by team emergency exit i dont think it is posted on here but it does work I tried it on syphonefilter, pursuit force and smackdown vs. raw so you dont have to update to run new games

this does not work on daxter though sorry to all the daxter fans

YES!!! THANK YOU MAN FOR SUCH GREAT NEWS! I'm so excited! I'm buying Syphon Filter tomorrow. I just updated to 2.0 today, because I fellt like playing Socom online (This was the first time I had ever played it online and a I LOVE it). I'm getting Syphon Filter tomorrow, and can't wait to play it on 2.0! Wooo!!!

Wait..can you confirim that Syphon Filter works? Since some people are saying on Team Emergency Exit's website that it doesn't work. Also, what country are you in, as sometimes different countries umds work with tricks while others don't..

How do you make 2.0 games work? Do you have to adjust that gameboot thing, or just make the psp think it's 3.00?

But yes, we have known about this for a while, and it has been available for download at this site's download page. It was also on the front page a while back.......

How did you break your UMD Drive? That really sucks man :icon_sad: I think the UMD drive is the most expensive part of a psp too..

Anyway realn0whereman is being awesome and scanning his receipt for me so I can get it under warranty. I hope they take scans. If not maybe I could get someone to mail it to me for like 2000 points.

for all the people that dont know what to do when the program boots up select firmware tweaks then set to 2.5 (screen will blink) then select back then go down to exit then exit loader put in 2.5 umd you can even look under system tools and see it say 2.5 (yea it scared the **** out of me when i firstsaw it but dont worry it is still 2.0 REMEMBER NOT ALL GAMES WORK only one I know is daxter

I'm starting to doubt Syphon Filter works. While the guy who started this post may have gotten it working, everybody else says that it doesn't work. I just hope that he's correct.

No for games that ask for 2.5 but arent encrypted against the 2.5 or 2.6 FW this will work. Typically games that came out in japan for 2.0 or 2.01 and in the US as 2.5 or 2.6

Sadly, from what I've tried, this doesn't work with Syphon Filter Dark Mirror. I tried making it work on my 2.0 by just changing the PSP to thinking it's 3.0. It got to a loading screen (there was a lil disk at the bottom-right of the screen), and then the PSP went black and shut off. Maybe it has something to do with some of the other options available in pspsetx..but so far I can't get Syphon Filter to work, as I expected would happen..but I'm still not going to upgrade past 2.0...

Syphon Filter has its PRX files encrypted against the 2.6 FW so you have to emulate to 2.6 FW so it will run. You cannot do this on 2.0 but you can on 1.5 But the ISO or UMD does not work. You have to extract the contents of it to a folder on root and have a edited boot.bin that points too the new locations. So, we are going back to how Game Loading use to be. Honestly I would buy this game if it worked on 1.5 or hell 2.0 but it doesnt so I wont and I will play 4 free
