Advanced techniques - Copy to Next Pattern
Hello! thanks for trying out PSPKick v3.0. I wanted to take a moment to
briefly explain one of the advanced techniques of PSPKick:
From the pattern editor, hit analog up + right trigger.
This will make an exact copy of your current pattern in the nearest empty pattern.
What is this good for? Let's say that you're in a strong
creative flow- You have a pattern that sounds good and you want to make
some variations on it. Well, you can instantaneously copy it with
analog up + right trigger, add some more hits, remove some hits, then
make another copy with analog up + right trigger, change some notes around, make more copies, unmute some tracks, etc. Keeping your flow moving smoothly and steadily, you now have a series of variations on a pattern!
If you want, you can go back and perfect them, but no matter what, your creative streak is recorded!
BTW, thanks to beta-tester Diallo for suggesting this feature. We welcome any further suggestions. And seriously, this is one of those few programs where the manual will actually be useful.
