The point is that you don't have to convert it.

Do the resolution of the avi files for this app have to be 480x272 as well?

I prefrer converting over all these AVI players because they play the smallest files at the smallest resolutions at like 1 frame per 3 seconds and converting doesn't take alot of time anyway... >.>

Well... the PRoblem with converting is, even thought I did proper settings (MP4...) the music is always behind the actual movie... and out of sync, movies arent fun

Ya'll should use something other than PSP Video 9...

There are much better Programs out there... Like PSP Max media Manager..
And Lenogo Video to PSP converter.

PSP video 9. Haha.

For those of you who have problems with audio sync, you should use DIVX Encoder to convert your avis (you can also select which audio if it has more than one like japanese or english, AND you can select a subtitle) and itll make the avi with your settings, and then when its done theres a option to correct video and audio sync. It works like a charm, the only downside is, is that itll take longer to convert because you use divx encoder, and then 3GP or PSPVideo9 or something..

I usually convert using divx whilst I am working, and then convert to psp whilst I am sleeping, so it doesnt get in my way.

To people who have out of sync audio just use any of the presets there, it's cause you probably use come form of custom convertion...

just use the movie or anime setting or something on pspvideo9 and you'll be fine
