what's all this about more than 12 channels?
If anyone figures out how, please let *me* know! Now, onto this "get my *76 *&^" song. It brings together techno and hip hop in a way i haven't heard for a very long time! I think I remember they used to overlap a lot more "when I was a kid"! or maybe it was just wishful thinking? IIRC Afrika Bambaataa first mixed together Kraftwerk with hiphop and made some seriously groovy music. Then things started going off in their own directions. Of course you have jungle now, but it's not quite the same...it used to be a lot more chill, and a lot less produced. you know, just a couple or three turntables...sometimes these junglists make me anxious with their militarized production hahaha maybe i'm guilty, too, i gotta house full of gear. anyway, your song inspired me to look up ol' Afrika Bambaataa and i'm listening to it. "Electro Funk Breakdown" MMmmm. gotta get this fellow to make a soundpack :P |

i will definately post up my first couple of pspkick tunes soon.
i just have to lower the levels on one (ooops... pspkick "noob" error!) and finish the other. both electro-techno-breakz kinda tracks.... not something i've heard much of on here.... although maybe i just missed any others like it is anone going to object if i also post (when they are done) the "full" versions up here, whch will have been added to, mixed etc in Cubase? just to show how pspkick can be used to start a track, and then developed on more hardcore-software! |

ok, here's my first "finished" pspkick song.
could use a little cleaning up, but since i'm transfering it all to cubase to continue its work, i doubt i'll bother tbh. it's a remix of a song off my album (of a few years back) - you can get the oriignal on www.djcresswell.com Please Do Not Break Space (Rouge Elephants PSP demo Remix) please let me know what ye's think. |

what a charming and pointless message to recieve, although i cant see the results of it anywhere. especially considering my latest song started on psp-kick. although i havent a psp-kick version for you to hear, here's the studio rough-mix after the psp-kick -> cubase transfer.... thought you might like to hear it. www.djcresswell.com/fairlight-rough.mp3 |

i like the style. it reminds me of some of the old amiga mods! my only concern would be the sawtooth wave that comes in with the vocal.... i'd re-write it as i'm not convinced about the tuning of it! other than that, it could just do with more "stuff" going on to keep in from getting repetitive.... something i will confess i'm not always so good at myself! |
