*Official* PSPKick Help Thread
OK, I have a feeling that a lot of people will post questions onPSPKick now that these forums are up, so to avoid cluttering - post all of your questions here, hopefully this will get the fastest answer possible!
First off - me
How do you combine the like 'bars' to create a song?
Howto: Making a Song From Bars
To make a song once you have a group of good patterns:
You move the analog stick down to get to the song menu.
There, press X to put a triangle under the
song cursor. That represents the start of the song.
Then, press up and down to change the pattern number above the triangle. That number is the pattern number of the first step.
Press right to get to the next song step. Change its pattern number.
When you're done, press O to place a square. That represents the end of the song. Press Start to hear your song!
try if archiving off works
I'm on fw 1.5 so i'm just speculating, but i've had simular problems with pspkick 2 and after a lot of trying things i found out that the program didn't work properly when the files on the psp were archived.
For some strange reason (that i didn't find yet so if someone knows please post the solution) when i copy files from my (win xp pro) harddisk to my psp the file gets archived automatically by windows. You can see this when you look at the properties of a file on the psp/game/pspkick folder ( im on a dutch version but i suppose that its called "archived" in english)
the solution to "unarchive" all files at once is the following:
-open the properties of the pspkick file in your psp/game/ folder
(if thats where it is on 2+ fw, if not choose the appropriate folder).
-if the archive option is not checked , check it and press apply
-you will now get the question if you want to do this to all the files within the folder, choose no, click apply.
(if the archive checkbox is allready checked you don't have to ofcourse)
-Now uncheck the archive checkbox, click ok and again you'll get the question if you want this for all files in the folder, choose yes this time.
-All files within the folder are now "unarchived"
for me this was the solution to all my pspkick problems, i hope it works for you too!
Greetings from Paris
Same here (made samples, but no sound)
The manual does not help either. Sample size under 128. At 44.1 and 16 bit I do not get any sounds. My samples will play on PC but not on PSP.
I put them in the folders with the other wav. files - they show up on screen but do not play on audition or play the step sequence.
What do I do wrong here ? Whats the correct way of making your own drumpack ?
