I mean, c'mon! How cool is this?

If this was released 2 weeks ago, people would be going crazy about it. Too bad such great homebrew is being overshadowed by piracy this week. And people say that piracy doesn't hurt homebrew...

Believe it or not, I don't have a wifi router - but with programs like this, I will soon!

Ahaha, I'm having the same problem as Khanman in those images. Well, other than the spelling, of course. Just prior to running the program I for the first time set up a connection in the PSP main menu and successfully got an IP address, so I don't know what's up.

VNC is such a cool thing. Honestly I'm hoping for it to hit DS because it would work well with stylus, but I'm certain I can work my way around this as well. Well, once I get it going.

EDIT: To be more specific, the bar at the top gets to "WiFi DHCP" before it seems to get stuck.

Little tips for ya all:

- NO DHCP!!! You have to set a STATIC IP on your PSP
- NO PASSWORD! Use REALVNC and set it to NO AUTHENTICATION

Hope it helps

Try to use it without WEP

Why not use a password? Thats pretty dumb if you ask me. Anyone can then take over your PC. Its not that hard actually, i was able to VNC into my computer with a password of letters, numbers and symbols (the same password ive always used to vnc from work and school) and it worked beautifully.

Thanks goes out to NHD for making such an awesome homebrew, keep the awesome work up!

i agree 100% i think this is sweet to be able to do this type of stuff with my psp and i predict the homebrew scene will pick up and will be better than any piracy

Pacote: Setting IP and such manually fixed my problem, thanks! I'm still having problems getting it to work overall, but to be honest for some reason I've been having problems with the same thing just using it from a PC recently, too. Didn't have enough use for it to make a big fuss about why, but now I do.

How do you resize the desktop to make it fit in the PSP screen? I only get the top quarter or so.

My next problem turned out to be the firewall was set to be too restrictive. Once that was fixed, it starts working... but display-only. I can watch the upper-left 480x272 of the screen, but no button presses or stick movements seem to move the screen, mouse, or do anything. The mouse icon is flickering which I recognize as an indication that it's also being controlled remotely, but maybe I'm just not understanding how. Documentation is a bit skimpy at this point.

EDIT: Well there's some minor success. I restart the thing, reconnect, and hitting down on the d-pad moves the cursor down... until it hits the edge of the screen, at which point nothing seems to move the cursor again.

EDIT AGAIN: Ooh, that's strangely symbiotic. I now find that if I'm moving the mouse on the PC, then the analog stick on the PSP will also affect the cursor. It's like the PSP can drive, but the PC mouse has the keys.

can someone please help us? Some of us need help setting this up. I get the screen that says "Connecting", but it sits there and does nothing. My computer is 192.168.0.101, so I tell the PSP to go there. My PSP is 192.168.0.104, so I tell my VNC client on the computer to accept that, but it does nothing. Can someone tell me every option they changed on the VNC on the computer?

xMaDDawGx at #PSPX just found an importante issue with this beta release..
You can only use the psp buttons (include the analog mouse) when something on the screen of psp moves (the area showing your desktop) or when you move your mouse in that area...

Why? Because the PVNC just establish connection when something in the desktop moves... try moving your mouse so you can see it movinh on the PSP screen , then try to hit triangle and using the keyboard...

Hopefully this will be fixed on the next release

1.1 - Go into “Infrastructure Mode”

1.2 - Select a connection to edit. If you already have a wireless connection set up, select it from the list. Skip over entering the Connection Name, skip over the WLAN settings if you already have those set up.

1.3 - In “Address Settings” click down to “Custom”, change to “IP Address Setting” Manual.

well first of all you have to find out what subnet range your wirless router is sending for example my default gateway is

192.168.0.1

and the subnet
255.255.255.0

so in the static ip settings i told the psp that its ip is

192.168.0.22

DNS : 192.168.0.1

Subnet:255.255.255.0
