How to convert homebrew into ISO format:
how to convert homebrew to ISO format:
you will have to know the UMD Strc
\PSP_GAME\ICON0.PNG
\PSP_GAME\PARAM.SFO
\PSP_GAME\PIC1.PNG
\PSP_GAME\USRdIR\
\PSP_GAME\SYSDIR\BOOT.BIN
\PSP_GAME\SYSDIR\EBOOT.BI N
\UMD_DATA.BIN
1) you will need PBP_Unpack.exe, PsPBrew.exe ,and UMDGen.
2) Instal Them if you didnt do so
3) Get your Favorite Homebrew you want to conver into ISO
4) if the home brew is in XKploite Form convert it using PsPbrew into 1.0 version
5) after doing so open EBOOT.PBP with PBP_Unpaker
6) extract data.psp
7) after that all you need to do is make two copys of that file
8) rename 1 of thoughs files to BOOT.BIN and the other to EBOOT.BIN
9) after doing that place both of thoughs files in SYSDIR dir IN UMD Structure
10) if the homebrew your trying load has other files in there directory you caN PLACE THEM
in SYSDIR two.
11) after placing every file in the right directory
12) Just USe UMD Gen to make a PSP COmpatable ISO.
13) then your done... :ROFL: :ROFL:
This Is only for 1.00 and 1.50 users only
this is not for illigal uses

Why would you want to run homebrews from the UMD device ?? Especially as you can't actually burn UMDs so you have to mount the iso using UMDEMULATOR or another isoloader app.
To finish with you can't run UMDs featuring decrypted EBOOT.BIN from the vshell so this is kinda useless because in any case (even if you could burn your UMDs) you would still need to run an elf to run the homebrew from the UMD device and to mount the umd (if you use an iso) so this is useless and pointlessCheers to Dark_Alex/Moonlight, Fanjita, Ryoko_no_usagi, Groepaz, Booster, Tyranid, Nem, MrBrown, psppet, emu_kidid and Shadowsan from GCOS, Everyone from the prometheus project. gcmods operators, every one who supported us, and every devs who I forgot to mention on this signature :)

if you were able to BURn THE UMD it will load on its own with out any other amps im just giving people other ways to pak there aplications. This also helps Homebrew by pak a group of homebrew then load each homebrew off of the iso im just bringing this out so when sony does release UMD burrners People can burn there Projects so heres my explination well

CAN'T YOU READ ??!! The VSH CANNOT LOAD DECRYPTED ELFS (renamed as EBOOT.BIN tough) THE VSH CAN ONLY LOAD THEM ENCRYPTED !! So yes you will need to run an application that can run either disc0:/sysdir/eboot.bin or disc0:/sysdir/boot.bin (witch according to Sony's UMD specifications should be the decrypted version of the EBOOT.BIN file......)

well at least try it before commenting me load up UMD Eeulator then (TURN OFF!!!!) BOOT.BIN so when the psp returns to Main MENU it wont try to launch the boot.bin file when you try to run UMD it will just run the GAME and not try to execute BOOT.BIN or EBOOT.BIN well im pretty sur this will load if you burnt it well thats my opinion

If you try to load it from vsh either it's burned or not you will get a 0x80020001 error that is defined as SCE_KERNEL_ERROR_ERROR by the kernel (it's the basic kernel error code, witch in that case indicates that it can't find the elf/prx (that should be encrypted and wearing the ~PSP header)

ok you remeber when the first XKploite that came out you had to switch mem cards so that it will load the EMu,HOmebre,or game well thats WHy you make a copy of tHe DATA.PSP so you would have two oh them BY renaming one BOOT.BIN and the other EBOOT.BIN it will be the same as trying to load a game that is GAMe _ & GAMe%

Custom EBOOT. Guess what? It boots!

I know about kxploit at least....
About the boot.bin it's the very same as eboot.bin even in games ! but the Eboot.bin is encrypted and the boot.bin decrypted, the eboot.bin is loaded by the vsh and then the games use the boot.bin once they are loaded.
There is no way using a decrypted Eboot.bin allong with a boot.bin can reproduce anything near to kxploit.

listen to wht u wrote like i said on one of my other post if you turn off BOOT.BIN loading on UMD EMulator it will not load the BooT bin so there is no other file to load so it loads EBOOT.BIN so the BOOT.BIN file is a dummy file just like GAME%

If turn off the boot.bin on UMDEMULATOR that config wont apply for the "system menu" (the VSH) that will still want to run the eboot.bin, it will only apply to "direct load" beside why the hell would you want to put homebrews on UMD if you need umdemulator to load those? Kxploit is way better. Finally if you do manage to run code from the disc0:/ device it will run in GAME mode instead of Kernel mode, so it sucks...

it is using kernal mode you can use WIFI , USB , file browzing and more

you can use wifi in GAME mode, otherwise how the hell do you think that the games would have wireless features ? ....
Beside if you use "direct load" to load boot.bin then it will run in kernel mode because umdemulator will run the elf directly so the mode wont change

ok i understand you but if you change the UMDemu options to SYStem Menu load it will Mount the ISo to the drive so you can launch it like you would any other game

It runs from the VSH ??? How come ?? The EBOOT.BIN HAS TO BE ENCRYPTED TO RUN IT FROM THE VSH (you know what the vsh is don't you ?)

yes it's the main menu, (the psp os) well I tried it with eboot.bin decrypted from games and it doesn't run, I didn't try it with homebrew ELFs tough but the result must be the same, however I still don't see the interests in mounting an UMD to run homebrews tough

i say you use UMD and mount it and watch it run WITHOUT BOOT>BIN load trust me this will work
i was trying to run Kernal mode with version 2.XX psp thats why . SOme one Conformed that UMD EMu load on version 2.5 psp with Eloader so i was trying to load homebrew with KErnal mode without any restrictionsLast edited by pspmad; 04-10-2006 at 10:54 AM.

It could be helpful to disguise homebrew, organize them, make thems easier to install, and removes their corrupted icons maybe? Same concept as a shell or the no NOKXPLOIT almost? Its a clever hack. I'd give him credit for showing it to be possible even if it has no reasonably useful purpose YET.

well some one posted you can use DAX-loader to compress XenapZ
and joesnose rip one of ("YOUR UMDs") you can find 1 in there

ok. i tried your method to make a quake iso, but i couldnt get it to work, i used the umd_data.bin from one of your releases? it just says "This game cannot be started the data is corrupted"

ill post a quake iso know ok that happend to me once but i fixed it let me see wht it is then ill post solution.
