stands for Beats of Rage

It homebrew style game which takes n the style of the great classic "streets of rage" on the sega megadrive, to play it you need the bor.pak file which is file your on about. this game also has many mods also i the form of bor.pak files.

its a mod to run on bOR. boR just makes it so you can run it/ well technically you can call it an Emulator. .

Nintendo vs Sega (Is this any good ?), Asterix..........

You can see it as Bor= Emulator
Pakfiles= Roms

The best Bor Paks are as follows:

The recently released improved version of Strider X (Must get, guys)
Double Dragon Advanced
Hyper Final Fight
Street Fighter II edition of BORII: Rythym of Destruction
Double Dragon Extreme

(also, Keep in mind, this is all IMO.. but its widely agreed with heh)

::EDIT:: Oh, and there are some good ones that are currently being worked on that will be coming out in the coming months which are Battletoads, Vendetta, MrQ's new Double Dragon mod, and my currently fav of anticipation: A Tale of Vengeance... Just to name a few.

To me it is, Its my favorite Homebrew.. esp that StriderX mod.. its EXTREMELY good it does things no other mod does: like air juggling and stuff.. and its uberhard.. you gotta try it Homer.

A Tale of Vengeance is looking very good. There is one mod that looks very promising. As it uses original sprites and what not "K.O.S. II". People should check it out @ http://borrevolution.vg-network.com/...topic.php?t=95

Dragons Of Rage
A Tale of Vengeance (Demo)
Crime Busters look promising but I haven't tried it out yet.
Few more that I can't remember.... oh and the reason I started working on BOR/OpenBOR for PSP Crisis Evil 1 & 2 (Favorite!)

Thats the beauty of BOR. Its that anyone can create their own version of a game which in turn brings us a new game, new storyline, new villians and heros. I say go for it! There is nothing wrong with that.

Yeah KOSII looks good well.. at least the sprites she made look nice, Ill have to see more of it though.

Thanks, been looking for that for a long time, the street fighter mod Ive got is impossible, Ive got to lvl 4 and I keep getting killed

Its called street fighter Victory or something like that.

you should try Street Fighter II edition of the BORII: rythym of destruction, I think thats the best SF mod.

.......still i dont get why some people think that BOR is one of the best pieces of homebrew

Dont get me wrong its a great game and so are the mods, but doesn't punching people over and over again, the only thing changing from level to level is the background and the music get boring. I carnt play it for more than an hour without getting bored. Anyway thats just my opinion.

well its only the best for us older people.. you see, were from the old school generation where we would play arcade beat em ups all day long, TMNT, Simpsons, XMEN, Double Dragon all the good ish.. all you did was go place to place beating people up - its for us to relive a dead genre...

you also probably might get bored with it because you didnt try a stellar pak.. try some of the ones I recommended... incase you dont wanna reread, the no.1 pak i recommend is StriderX (but make sure you get the updated version)
