![]() http://psixonline.com/ Changes : (p6beta-v1.70c / p6public-v1.10) - Icon support refined - Audio no longer crackles on tabchange. - Audio vizualisation completed and added - File manager working - New OSK implimented (Psikey) - Image viewer improved and less prone to crashing, set as wallpaper and remove wallpaper fully functional - Refined gui engine, for faster, smoother animations and transitions Public build specific : - Filesize limitation of music changed to 7mb, unlimited size is still being worked on and is only available on beta builds Incidentally this update brings public pretty much level with beta at this time, however there are one or two buggy things disabled in this version, until further testing is complete. Enjoy / Flame / Whatever

Also, make sure you are not running iR Shell when you run this shell
That is just silly, don't ya think! As for the not enough memory, that is evident when you have backround apps running (iR Shell as an example) or are probably on a PSP that Psix does not support

Looks good...for a shell.
Spaceman from Babylon Zoo. That's an OLD tune from back in '95. Next thing you know, Fluff will be playing "Music For Chameleons" by Gary Numan. Yeah, next screenshot show that MP3 playing, Fluff.

Hi Fluff, so what you're sayin is that Lite is the same as Pro, but a few weeks later only? Not any functions missing?
I really like this homebrew and would like to use every of its wonderful features, tho i cant even start it! I have a 1.5 PSP and when i transfered psix and psix% (icons did i put in psix folder, is that right?) i got error message when trying to start, something about Out of memory, and white text on black! What should i do? |

The problem you are having is caused by hiding corrupt icons, we haven't figured out a wey to detect and handle all known folder hiding methods yet, so having hidden folders on the memory stick causes the problem. Psix also scans the entire memorystick for homebrew, so even if you have homebrew placed in /PSP/MUSIC/RandomAlbumName/ it will still find and display it on the desktop.

Public builds will be released when new features from beta are tested and finalised. You do not need to purchase membership to enjoy psix, as the public builds will have the same things, only later, which may be days, to a month or so later, depending on which feature, as some of them require more testing and refining than others. There is a relatively cool feature comming soon which all other homebrew in general hasn't done yet, hopefully after some hard testing we'll be able to blow some socks off

Having been a user of PSP-Oss for a long time, i thought i would try out your shell as i havnt done so since a much earlier version.
I'm impressed to see that your shell while offering the same features as Oss (more or less) does so with a reduced total file size. PSP-OSS = around 10Mb (inc my wallpapers). Psix = around 5Mb (inc my wallpapers). The reduced file size is much appreciated as it allows ppl like me with smaller Mem sticks the ability to use your shell. The image viewer and MP3 player seems to be working fine on my system (1.5). However the MP3 i was playing DID skip/crackle while i was switching through the tabs and viewing wallpapers/images. Also after setting an image as the Psix wallpaper/desktop Bg and then playing a homebrew game i noticed the Psix Bg resets back to the defult upon returning to the shell. Have i just missed something here and perhaps need to perform an additional task in order to keep the Bg or is this feature simply not there yet. Great work on the shell, keep at it. |

Got it running without hiding Corrupted Data! But where do i put the icons folder?
And some things i wanna know: Why cant i listen to music? Can i listen to music while playin homebrew? Can i play PMP-files in the videoplayer? What are the good things about using this shell, i would really like to know! Thanks! |
