I was going through my emenu and i noticed that there was an additional homebrew that i dont remember putting on. It was called update. The icon for it shows 2.7. I remember checking to see (through network update) if the new update was available but i guess what sony ended up doing was "sneakily" placing the option in your emenu (or eloader). (thats assuming you went to check through network update).

to my knowledge if you try to run it, it will just return back to the emenu screen (it will not officialy update your psp) but ive only confirmed that on 2.6.

yup... but like i said it was just because i probably "checked" to see if there was an update available. In the crazy amount of homebrew on my emenu, it was kinda hard to notice...

NO you must of pressed the X when you was checking to see if there was a new update so it's not Sony being sneaky it's you being silly LOL

maybe i did press x...its just weird seeing it in the emenu that's all.. I didnt know that the update was saved in the GAME folder anyways... (i have never upgraded since i started with a 2.6)

I downloaded the update (without actually updating of course), and it didn't show up in my eMenu at all. Actually, I'm kinda pissed. I can't delete it for some reason. Not with File Assistant or in the XMB. I can't even delete it on my PC (it deletes all of the info, but it can't get rid of the file itself).

Back up your files and then format your memory stick.

I have my 2 gig almost full. :P It's ok though, I just cut and pasted the folder in the root, so the eboot is empty and eMenu doesn't pick it up.
