I think that will come when it runs normal
And to think some said it was impossible to have a working n64 emulator on the psp :dj:
nothings impossible everyone said thats there would be a downgrader and the they made it then they said there wouldnt be a 64 emulator and now you see there is one

ive been away for a couple days and i come back and theres all this ***** happening. 2.7 comin out, monkey64 updates, now this? i just shat ma pants
Mario Kart 64 Loads on my 2.60, It gets to "Press Start Button" I press start and it crashes, but got past that after the 3rd try, then crashed again. Thats unziped its at 12 MB. Maybe I should try zipping it? or will it just not work at all?
if the makers of this emu and psmonkey do actually work together, this project would be flawless.... all i want is some more speed, and some c buttons workin!! this emu is unbelieveable. there have been so many ppl saying that a lot of things can't be done with the psp.... downgrading, ever getting GTA (to name one) running, a possible N64 emu... well they've been done.... what's next!?
it just wont work at all, and a racing game right now in the emus early stages would not be playable for how slow it would moveOriginally Posted by Holyone
Nice Mario 64 runs at 5fps. Not bad for a first release. I tryed out SnowBoard kids but it was no dice, emulator couldnt even recognize it.
wow great emulator, i still waiting for star craft 64
- PSPIRATESv6 :D
- Kindom Hearths: Sora´s Adventure V0.2
- PSPirates Alarm Clock v0.3
- Changos!: fall of the army-ITS ALIVE AND WORKING (coming soon)
Ok, i got Snowboards kids to load at about 1.5 fps, it barely loaded and i had it compressed to a 4 meg zip file. I also tried San Francisco Rush, but it just froze up and said not enough memory.
Well, it's quite slow. But great proof of concept! N64 CAN run on a PSP.
Monkey needs to chat with the author of this one. Together they could destroy the emperor, and rule the galaxy as father and son.
THE N64 EMULATOR WORKS ON V. 2.60 PSP! all you have to do is dl the 1.oo/2.00 one and put it on your memory stick. Once that is done, start up GTA and the Eboot Loader. Then pick Daedalus. And it is slow, but give it time once you pick your Rom. GIVE IT TIME!
Lol I like this :humped:

It's slow, yes. It's been said 1,000,000 times now.
But it's still great. The second release should be Shart-in-your-pants, fall-over-after-having-a-heart-attack-from-all-the-excitement Worthy.
I came to tears when I saw mario 64 flash across the screen of my PSP perfectly, If this works on 2.6 PSP that would be great I have heard some people saying it does, but those where noobs so does it require kernal access or not? This thread didn't get as flooded with noobs as I thought too but every once in a while you get the noob saying does this work with the 64 meg conkers?
Does overclocking the CPU on the eLoader Menu make a difference in framerate??
Not to sure if eloader effects the cpu in games, i would have thought it would do though.Originally Posted by lunasicc
Well, I answered my own question and tested it myself. The answer is no. Oh well, still an amazing emulator. Now I can't wait for PSmonkey's release.
i did what you just said except i have a 2.01 psp.mario 64 actually runs on my psp. ;) can't wait for this to be a reliable stable release.Originally Posted by 92nick
Actually i just found this out yesterday;Originally Posted by lunasicc
When you start Daedalus it already sets
the PSP to 333mhz. So in other words,
no overclocking the CPU in eLoader won't improve
the framerate. There could even be a chance of
reduced framerate (Buti highly doubt it would change anything).
I Am still holding on to this great homebrew.
Hopefully they could improve the speed soon,
or maybe just add sound support.
Graphical glitch's ain't that bad, well with mario
it plays above expectations!
I registered an account here for the sole purpose of posting on this topic. I just wanted to say that I am absolutely flabberghasted at what I have seen so far, and that if this duo can improve on this wonderful emulator, it will be the most spectacular contortionist act in video game history!
I am really looking forward to seeing the updates this team puts forth.
*Waits patiently for Snowboard Kids 2 on-the-go.*

man i used Daedalus on my pc maaaany years ago and now its back on the psp. awesome. cant wait for further updates. Playing games like goldeneye and no mercy via wifi would be a dream come true. :)
On the home page it shows screen shots of the title/open scenes of Golden Eye and Mario Kart 64, I have found these roms and noticed that they are both well over 8Mb on every site I can find? So I wonder if the developers have inforced this limit to stop them recieving as many requests/questions?
You can play most roms that are under 8 MB, any rom over 8 MB might load, but you won't be able to play, will just crash at start/load screen.
I'm pretty sure the N64 rom is loaded into PSP ram, so that's the reason for the limitation(I think the PSP ram is 4mb). I've heard he's working on some form of rom streaming for the next version.Originally Posted by Destructo
I hope a totally seperate version is made for 1.5 and 2.0 users because I don't think either N64 Emulator can reach full potential in user mode.
Imagine both devs working on a full kernel mode N64 emulator that made use of all of the Psp's co-processors and the Media Engine for full sound. So a seperate User Mode and Kernel Mode N64 emulator would be cool.
Just compare the difference in performance between Snes TYL Kernel Access ME and the User Mode one and you will see.
