Raf has just updated the Links 2 Standalone browser to Links 2.1-pre21 Stand Alone Release r1136

Is it just me. Whenever i run links2 for the first time on each version, the link startup page works. But then when i run it for the second time n so on. The link startup page doesnt show up no more and it has an erro. Is been duing this in every verison.ANyone having this problem too?

I only have this problem with IRShell. Although this version is working funny with the loading of pages... like they don't show up until they are fully loaded or something and it looks like it is frozen.

The memory allocated to this release seems to be lower than 1129.
Everytime I load up pspupdates.com the memory maxes out.

maybe something to do with the SSL seeding? hmm. I do see what you mean though. I'm really happy though that raf changed the default download directory to music and that I can save configuration settings now. raf's my hero. really. (Ahman's up there too)

yup, although there's no bookmarks/config saving 1129 is the way to go, for now.

There was a post at the Links2 forums that they would concentrate on making one, either the standalone or the plugin. So I guess they're concentrating on the standalone. Tough luck.

Previous version was working on 2.6. My bet is this quick fix for bookmarks saving broke the 2.6 compatibility.

This version isn't all that good anyway, no loss at all.
So stick with the previous version for now.

I could hold off bookmark saving until a better version, but I was rather surprised it got taken off from the version before it.
But now that it is added in again, the browsers crashes more than it should.

I'm just using both. I have the old one set to default homebrew for IRShell and I can just copy setting over whenever I have to. (funny now that I have three versions of this now including the pspradio plugin, it's just too great though)

Does any else have problems with being disconected from the internet a lot? Whenever i stay on one page for a long time ( reading a long news item for example) i am disconnected once i want to load a new page. I constantly have to press Cross plus select ( or start, w.e.). Is it just my wifi connection ( usually 80-100%) or is it the app?

Which version is that? There are two I have downloaded on my comp:

links 1090

and links 1129

Hi,
Is it possible to choose which connection to connect to or does the Links2 browser just connect to the first connection on the network settings. I am having problems viewing the interent, the error sign keeps popping up and thought this may be the problem.

The first connection is the one im trying to connect to and can connect to it fine but the Links2 browser still cannot connect to it and just brings up the error screen. Anybody have any ideas of what the problem could be.

PSPUpdates homepage runs out of memory not because of the app but it depends what the homepage has on it.

Like this week, maybe the homepage has more pics etc on it than it did last week.

I bet if you tried 1136 and if it ran out of memory when loading the pspupdates homepages, i bet if u tried links2 1090 it would do the exact same thing?

Try loading up the PSPU frontpage with 1136 and 1129. It is bound to run out of memory with 1136 but 1129 will load is up perfectly.

I used the latest version today and have had no problems with it so far, it does seem a tad slower than before but atleast the Bookmarks work now which to me is important since typing a new URL everytime can be a pain.
