Default Best 2.60 settings for SnesPSP_TYL 0.4.2?

What are the best settings for the SnesPSP_TYL 0.4.2 for a 2.60 PSP? I make the speed limit fps to 58fps, but I know there must be a more efficiant way. Any suggestions?

The easiest way is to use frameskip. Set it to 1 or 2 on games that you think are lagging and that should correct the situation.

Sounds great~
But yeah, should I switch to the older eloader so I can access 333mhz clock speed? Or does it make no difference?

You can try sound off, that works very well.

Oh yeah it runs great without sound, but then I would miss out on the awesome soundtracks - like the Zombies Ate My Neighbours one, and, the wonderfully crafted Super Mario Bros. 3 music.

One thing I don't like about Snes TYL (not sure if it has already been mentioned), is that there seems to be a weird missing sprite bug in any game when you get hit. So for example in Super Mario World, Mario would go missing for a few seconds after he gets hit (when he's invincible). Really annoying for games like Mario, as it can potentially lead to instant death. Doesn't happen with uo SNES, though.

Anyone know what I'm on about?

No offense, but are you people THAT dense? He's invisible because of frame-skipping! Skipping an odd amount of frames can usually result in this because the blinking animation isn't being shown fully.

Er...yes. Except that this also happens when I turn on Auto frame skip.

I know that because I was just playing Super Metroid on Auto FS the other day - perfect, apart from the aforementioned blinking. And it only happens when you get hit, and are invincible for a short time - games like Mario, Metroid, Pocky & Rocky, even Terranigma.

No need for abuse, now.

As I said before, it doesn't happen on uo_SNES, only on TYL. Skipped frames or not, it shouldn't be happening, and is quite annoying. Unless you can work out a way to get rid of it, I suggest you keep quiet.

I get that as well, he turns invisible wen the framerate is too high (flashing).
it happens even without frameskip.

Ok, SO how's this. Playing better = no death animation, ergo no flashin' Mario!

Hey no cursing! lol

Were I'm from blinking is a curse word, it's just funny as hell that you did it in the right context and wording without even knowing.

Anyway I had the same problem even with frameskip off .... just change the video mode, that will fix it.

Well, I can play just fine with auto frame-skip, 22khz sound, and psp accel w/ approx soft. I almost never have any blinking issue and don't need to change MY video mode. I just wish I could be there in person because everyone seems to be having serious issues EXCEPT for me, ROFL. Sigh...This is great.

Depends what games you play, though. The games work fine for me too, it's just this blinking issue that's a bit annoying.

By the way - does this mean that in 4.2 the games now work better on 22khz? In 0.3 the games seem to work a lot better when you changed the sound to 44khz.
