Default Snes_TYL v4.2...Best SNES emulator EVER?

Y'know, when v4.1 came out, I had just about lost all faith in the creators of SNES_TYL, because their releases were getting progressively worse in terms of speed and stability, but if someone out there HASN'T tried 4.2 yet, DOWNLOAD IT NOW! I realise that I'll probably anger some people out there for posting this useless thread, but I just wanted to give my thanks for this INCREDIBLE release! It works EXTREMELY well on my 2.6!

It's just too beautiful! Even Mario World runs close to flawlessly! The ONLY issue that I'm having is that I can't figure out how to use netplay. Can someone help me out in that department? Thanks. Anyways, the basic point that i'm trying to make is just, try THIS version and all of you UO_SNES users will finally agree to just how great this emulator has become!

Netplay is ad-hoc then?

Really that good, then? 4.1 wasn't too hot, so I just stuck with 0.3 (which works well for some games). Plus 4.1 had a few bugs & glitches, like the menu freezing. I'm guessing it's all fixed now?

Thats right Nibre. Most, if not all, bugs should be fixed.

And what about game performance - is it better than 0.3 for 2.6 owners? It sounds too good to be true...

YES! It IS better than 0.3! MUCH better! I, myself have a 2.6! Upon some testing, I've found that only a few games are still better on UO_SNES such as Donkey Kong Country and Battle Toads Double Dragon. But, all of the really important games like Mario, Castlevania - Dracula X, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Final Fight, Zelda, Megaman X, and LOADS of others run like a dream on TYL 4.2. People, please post your experiences with this emulator.

EDIT: More games that run GREAT (with some light tweaking) are Yu Yu Hakusho, Super Punch Out, Saturday Night Slammasters, Illusion of Gaia...Still testing...

Sounds great...but what about that other problem - you know, the one that was being discussed in the other thread, about the blinking - is that fixed? If so, then that would be wonderful. I'll give it a try tonight.

With Auto Frame-skipping and 22khz sound, I can play Drackula X at full speed with only a couple of frames skipped.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the emulator's Ad-hoc through a tunneling program like, say, X-Link Kai? If so, I demand someone play against me online on our PSP's D:

I think you may want to check my thread about a possible bug in the program that forces me to re-format the psps memory stick. Has anyone else had that problem?
