I wanted to play the new version of the great lumines clone boxy2 but when i try to start up a new game the psp frezzes at loading.
does anybody have the same problem or does someone know to fix this?

It'll crash if there's no music in the ms0:/psp/music folder. Plus it'll crash when the music ends (even in the fix!). Well this is what happened in my 2.0 anyway... I recomend going back to 0.2 for now. Some of the bugs in that version are quite hard to get (played a lot to be able to take pics so nothing would be lost in translation - may speak quite well but still not a native speaker

). So it'll be more stable at least for now.

I reported a few bugs in previous releases and some more in this one (besides the ones I pointed in this post). I bet Ghoti will iron most out

Make sure you have the BoxyII 0.3a fix.

One thing that helps is renaming the folder from "Boxy2" to anything else ( Boxy, BoxyII, or whatever).

I have a problem as well ..
I load it from memory stick in the normal way, the PSP screen comes up then goes black and i get

The game could not be started.
(80020130)

1.5 firmware, boxy ii 0.3a fix
Tried it with "Boxy2 _" named folder and renamed to "Boxy"
I have one mp3 in my psp/music folder, is that supposed to help?

I really want to play this

You're on 1.5 right? Not the right place for this post...

Still, try merging the 2 eboots using PSPBrew 0.7. Then save it as a 1.5 (without the hide curropt data option). And the folder must be named anything but boxy2 (boxy is fine).

Boxy 0.4 is out with some new features

added

- Chaos game mode added
- add option to turn on/off musicplaying
- add option to turn the chaos mode to random or classic theme changing
- at pause the music also pauses
- at pause the time also pauses
- new skin (Cards)
- new skin (reptile)
- after quit the game through select first you'll get the gameover screen to fill in the highscore
- Random music mode
- with normal music mode pressing L goes one song back

Fixes

- (when music is turned off in the options screen the game won't crash on the account of not being present any mp3 songs.)
- randomly crash on next theme fixed.
- options bug reads correctly now
- premature deletion of blocks when line was not beyond that point is fixed.
- bugfix special block
- fixed the black screen bug

now when i try to start boxy with eloader on 2.01, the game wont start at all, black screen and psp shuts off. any sugesstions?
