You know I love DGen's releases, additions and such. But for some reason games just don't run as fast/smooth on DGen as they do on PSPGenesis. Every release of DGen I compare a few games like Sonic and Streets of Rage (to name a few) on DGen and PSPGenesis and everytime PSPGenesis is faster/smoother. I'm not sure if it's a setting Im not getting right or what but for instance in Sonic/Streets of Rage the action on screen moves pretty smooth but the music/sfx lags and slows down all the time. Meanwhile on PSPGenesis action and music/sfx are as smooth as they can be.
I guess I'm asking if theres a setting Im not settting up right causing DGen to lag/slow down. DGen is set for 333mhz, 22050 KHz at 4:3 which besides the screen setting is defaults I believe. |

Maybe it's the games I'm playing, because PSII and PSIV are perfect. It must be the sidescrolling type games that don't run as well. Maybe someone who's tweaked and plays other games can comment, I was planning on playing the Sonic games as soon as I finished all 3 PS's for Genesis...

'Performance' mode can cause crashes in some games.

I've been telling people on this board forever that PSPGenesis is better.... but they're so stubornly loyal to DGen that I guess they've forgotten how a real Sega Genesis system feels, and plays like... which PSPGenesis emulates to near perfection.
