I really hope that was sarcasm... I cant see a smilie anywhere... *shrug*
Anyway, yes - who cares, I use ISOs aswell? What ya wanna do? Flame me to death, i mean comeon...
I used most of the ISOs I got for custom Mods of mine, much of my coding knowledge comes from working with such games, I cracked several PC Games, PS2 and PSP... comeon...
Its for the overall good afterall... 90% of the PSP Owners dont even know bout homebrew... i mean, comeon... all the peaple i know / knew that have / had a psp, didnt even know what homebrew means...
Wowzers, simply amazing
To think i was tempted to upgrade to 2.7
Whatever this POC holds for the future, we can at least be assured that nomatter what a company does, they can't stop the homebrew comunity
Ryan
thanks for your opinion Fou-Ryu. But a little more on topic - We are waiting now for someone/fanjita to make this a useable application like the eLoader, ryt? When do you think we will see this being released then? Roughly?
Why should only 1.50 users enjoy the iso's(not fair)?PSP games are made to be played on the PSP and iso's are always going to be better than homebrew(with some exceptions)

Fanjita's trying to get it released as soon as possible.Zitat:

OK, thanks.Zitat:

Because we have 1.5 psp's. Life's not fair live with it.Zitat:

Is this same exploit in 2.7+. If it is we just need to find someone way to access flash1 then we should have kernel on 2.7+.
guys..most of you..stop being such hipocrites...i mean,90% of these ppl(me too) want a iso loader...
so most of you, stop saying that downlaoding isos is piracy , bla bla bla
Flash1 isnt kernal access. Besides you CAN'T run any homebrew on 2.7.Zitat:

mistake is human man!!! no one can make a soft 100% with no security holes whatsoever!!! it is Sony who many psp!!! without Sony..there wouldn't be any psp!!! just think about it...
to be honest i want to play iso on my psp!!! here the umd games are very very expensive... price of 8 psp games is greater than the price i paid for my psp!!!
Thats why you shouldn't have iso loaders. There bad and hurt devs.Zitat:
Zitat von MetalReaper
Last time i checked the DMCA says that downloading games off the internet without actully buying them is piray(stealing)
Wow, i never realised that.Zitat:
Zitat von lplover2k
WOW, youre right!
:PC:
yeah they say that..but who doesnt have anything to due with piracy these days?
Eh... the Exploit definently is still existant in 2.7...
The Problem is that we dont have a way to execute Homebrew on 2.7 yet... ya see?
We need atleast some sort of way to execute that thing, thats our problem... cause the exploit only gets executed when loading homebrews... :(
And due to us not being able to edit EBOOTS and still execute them on 2.7... we are stuck to 2.6 for now...
The Problem is thought... now that the Exploit and how it works is well known... sony definently will make haste and fix it up in the next fw (3.0 maybe? PS1 Emulator?)...
So we are left with nothing again... but this find somehow cheered me up... it showed us all that sony just cant work properly :P
And that homebrew always will succeed...
Haha, sony prob will come with a 2.72 now.
grammar!!!Zitat:
Zitat von delight1
Heh, I'm sorry :PC:
Thats wrong.Zitat:
Zitat von Fou-Ryu
Homebrew is able to be executed in 2.6 so we just found an extra exploit on an already a hacker fw. The exploit cant be executed on the latest fw.
To be honest, I won't be that bothered about a PS1 Emulator..Homebrew ftw!!
Let's keep to the topic that the thread creator intended. There is plenty of time to talk about ISO's in the Piracy Policy thread. No need for it to spill over into this.
They don't even have it ready yet, only RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RAAAAAAAAAAAAAACERS!Zitat:

and who says ill be playing games i havent purchased? maybe i dont like carrying around my only original copies of games with me, or want to have more than one game that i have purchased on me without having to worry about damaging the UMDs. ISO loaders arent ALWAYS used for bad reasons.Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
yeah thats right..but if one comes out i will use it for piracy ;) (me and 1364546 people)
here in portugal they arent that strict about piracy..i can go to a store with cops there and anti piracy ppl and say "im not buying this , i will just download it later
Bad isnt the same as illigeal.Zitat:
Zitat von Skywing
say, can noone of you read my post?
I said that the Exploit for Kernel itself is existant on 2.7, but due to us having no way to execute homebrew anyway, its useless...
MAN - THINK AND THEN POST...
Maaannn...
Anyway, I was bored, and created a logo for the savegame... I saved it as PSD, so if Fanjita and Co wanna use it, go ahead...

either way, there are LEGAL uses for an ISO loader.Zitat:

Guys, quit the spamming. Stay on topic.. use PMs if you want to whine.
I think the fact the there will be a ps1 emulator spells trouble for sony and their quest to end homebrew. I mean a new complex program is bound to have holes in it. Plus the added GPS, they will make a mistake in the code somewhere. And god bless the hack who finds it because I know I sure as hell could.
Remember that before you bash sony so hard for the mistake. How long did it take to find? How long did even the GTA hack take to find? And if your such a brillent coder and sony is such terrible ones why did you not let us all in on this little secrit earlier. I am not a huge fan of sony, but their mistakes are small, and their quest to stop homebrew will never work. The dedication of really brillient indivduals will always find the one tiny mistake that can be exploited into homebrew access.
I really hate people who say that, it just grinds my nerves.Zitat:
Zitat von Skywing
Save what space? UMD's are tiny! And You need a 2gb ms! S please, stop the BS.
On another, slightly more cheerful, note this is looking to be very good news, Full kernel!
what happened to my last posts?

NeilR deleted them because they were spam. Remain on topic as previously stated twice already.
No need to reply to this. If you have any questions, do so via PM.
EDIT - Stop posting that picture in everyone of your posts.
what the?! I was the one telling people to get back on topic bcos every1 was talking about piracy.Zitat:
Zitat von Abe_Froeman
Actually, very few games are a full 1.8GB, SOCOM is about 340MB, Lumines is about 200, same with Mercury. And yes, UMDs are tiny, but theyre also pretty damn fragile when not in a case.Zitat:
Zitat von mnky
You could always register for a free one :pZitat:
Zitat von Skywing
fragile? i had to put some effort it to snap the caseless umds, they were demos that needed upgrading; evil.Zitat:
Zitat von Skywing
sorry to be off topic but if we get full kernal, do we have to create a ISO loader or could you use one that is already created liike daxs ISO loader? this is great news. Universal remote here i come.
hey how do u know the sizes of the games? :rolleyes:Zitat:
Zitat von Skywing
There is no way to determine this without a time machine.Zitat:
Zitat von xsorifc28
To all: ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS NOT AN ISO TOPIC!!! Please do not force an unnecessary thread closure.
how long before someone finishes this off, so we can actually test all these things? A few hours? A day? A week? A month?
edit: And why was my other post deleted?
