I wouldn't go so far as to call it fw1.0 all over again, remember, there's no protection against homebrew at all on 1.0, and it's still not confirmed whether kernel mode even works on this. Even if it does work well, you'll still need GTA and you'll probably need it every time you reboot.Zitat:

lol, i wasnt serious. but if we run games from XMB doesnt that make it like a 1.0?
Its not 1.0 all over again, but it does work. Not sure what sort of confirmation you are looking for, the kernel dumps are more than enough evidence.Zitat:

I have just a question, do you think this exploit applies on the 2.6 firmware which is on the new GTA UMD ?

itd be cool if we had a back to GTA mode. run KelLoader, play games blah bla then go to KeLoader and back to GTA put in sleep mode. no more reboots!

circutmuncher, that's enough spam.
This isn't a new eLoader, it's just something for devs to take a look at, stop spamming please. Back on topic, keep it up guys! This is the greatest thing i've read since Fanjita's "We found the 2.6 syscalls!" update a few months ago :p.Zitat:

Yes i didn't mention it, upgrade to 2.6 with it and then launch eboot through a not patched GTA.Zitat:

I meant who will try the downgrader by Dark_alex...
idiots who want a brick for gaming.
I'm not denying that it's definitely accessing the kernel, though there isn't yet proof that there's the ability to load eboots from it, and, as was said earlier, don't get your hopes up too much.Zitat:

sony is gonna be shaking in its boots
ok so when will the exploit be working?

Please don't ask these questions; this mentioned in the posting guidelines as it's quite annoying to be asked questions that have no answers.
Even though you answer every question so cold and dry , you can still be very funny sometime xDZitat:

has there been any word on a new eloader?
Fanjita is working on a program like the nokxploit patcher.Zitat:
Zitat von Hamer
so far all fanjita is working on is a way to use this exploit.thats all he is doing is to find a way to take advantage of this exploit
He's planning on working one.Zitat:
Zitat von Link88
eh, May be a newb styled question but uh..
what is a "nokxploit patcher", I never had a < 2.0 firmware, mien came with 2.01 and i upped to 2.6, and its stayed there scince i upgraded it, so i obviously havent used any 1.5 programs. And my psp is the kind required to downgrade, once a stable version is released (more + than - results) I may give it a go.
another thing, once its at 1.5 could you downgrade to 1.0 again?
It will patch your firmware so you wont need to use gta everytime i think.
no-kxploit patcher allows you to run 1 eboot on 1.5 instead of the 2 kxploited eboot.Zitat:
Zitat von Firey
Yes but only until you restart your psp, then you need to run the patcher again.Zitat:
Zitat von daggerer
so basically, this kxploit, removes say using eLoader to run an eboot? or? /me is kinda confused, you use 1 instead of 2 or something?
tha's what they're trying to do ...Zitat:
Zitat von SovietSlayer
they want to "patch the PSP" once. Then shut it off. Turn on. Still patched. Via Flash. :humped:
that makes sense, kinda like a uh.. mask, you put it on yer psp, and hopefully it will stay there. via the flash access.

Basically, 1.5s can run homebrew without the eLoader straight from the regular PSP GAME menu. They're trying to enable similar functionality. As Soviet said, you'll have to run GTA and redo the patch once every hard boot (speculatively speaking of course).Zitat:
2) Installing Homebrew on a PSP with v1.5 Firmware using the KXploit method A
If you want to skip all the do-it-yourself and download a pre-converted pack of emulators, you can get it here. Simply extract all the folders in that zip, connect your PSP via USB, and put them in PSP/GAME/. Note that these emulators are updated very frequently, and when new versions come out you will still be stuck with the older ones. Do not post on our forums asking for people to convert them for you, you can read on to learn to do it yourself, it's quite simple. You can also find Pre-Made EBOOT files for the 1.5 KXploit here.
First you need to download KXploit from here (get the latest version). Open the zip file and extract KXploitTool-0.3-Setup.exe. Run this file and install it in your directory of choice. You will then be prompted to reboot, so reboot your machine.
After you have rebooted, download whatever homebrew you want to install and unzip it to your desktop or wherever. Then connect your PSP to your computer via USB, turn on your PSP, and navigate to Settings > USB Connection and press X/O (O is for JP PSPs). Your computer should then automatically detect the PSP.
On your computer click the KXploit Tool 0.3 shortcut and you will be brought to this menu [picture]. In the "Name" field, type a descriptive name of the homebrew emu/game you want to convert (ex: "SNES"). Next click the "..." button next to the "PBP File" field and navigate to the EBOOT.PBP file in the folder of the homebrew you just downloaded [picture]. In the "PSP Unit" field select the drive letter of your PSP [picture]. Now press Generate files and the program will install the files onto the memory stick. Make sure that all necessary files included with the Homebrew Emulator or Game are in the second folder (the one WITHOUT the %). Put all ROMs in the second folder (the one WITHOUT the %) as well.
well, thats all hunky dorey, if i had a 1.5 psp ;) all i wanted to know was what it was. Thanks for the effort tho.
edit: Thanks, it looks like i posted as you edited.
