Default PSP System firmware 1.5 BIOS for Undiluted Platinum users

UP logo

From the creators of the Undiluted Platinum Modchip comes PSP System firmware 1.5 BIOS in .flash format for the Undiluted Platinum flashing utility. This release is a stop-gap between the availability of the first Modchip for the PSP and the release of the Epsilon custom Bios flash replacement that will allow you to do much more than this 'unpacked' version of a 1.5 EBOOT lets you do.

So, what does this one actually do? Well, it allows Undiluted Platinum users to install PSP firmware version 1.5 onto their Undiluted Platinum chip using the flashing utility supplied with the UP chip. You can then switch between your original Bios that is on your PSP (i.e firmware 2.0) and firmware 1.5, thus allowing you to play UMD games that require higher firmware versions and running homebrew! We didn't have a spare Undiluted Platinum modchip to test this on in the QJ labs, but we have been assured by the modchip developers that this is very easy to use with the UP flashing utility.

The Epsilon custom Bios replacement should be released pretty soon and is much better, as it has support for both 1.0 and 1.5 Eboots, and of course has the godlike ability to restore bricked PSPs to their original glory. However, until then, this original firmware 1.5 should do for Undiluted Platinum users!

If you haven't ordered a Undiluted Platinum modchip yet but would like to, here are the links necessary to get yourself on the route to PSP firmware freedom:

* Buy the modchip and do-it-yourself (or have a friend help out)
* Have it professionally installed by ModChipStore.com
* Buy a pre-modified Black PSP with Undiluted Platinum already install
* How to Install UP modchip on your PSP
* How to Install firmware /flash files (like this one) onto your UP modchip

Download: Contains illegal files. We cannot host it here.

I'm just posting it here because It may be taken from the QJ hompage due to legal issues.
