Default Dead PSP due to modchip
Well, i guess i diddnt do a good enough job as i thought i had done. My PSP is now a paperweight. If i try to turn it on the power light just blinks and nothing...
Well time for me to figure out a way to buy another PSP.... untill then.... I guess i dont have a PSP... but a hunk-o-junk...

I just hope this lets all of you know that the modchip isnt that easy to install. Iv done over 100 xbox modschips and TSOP flashes... and i still couldnt cut it... Sucks to be me now..

The people in my siggys PSP's died due to a fake downgrader,
and now possibly yours to a fake modchip

it can't be a fake modchip. UP is so widespread... there are already services for installation+UP in Singapore for S$150 (US$94)

Can you get photos at least of what you tried? or is it a complete mess.
Maybe if someone else looks at the photo, they will catch something you didn't.

Have you tried removing the chip, and re-joining the traces that you cut?

I think you should re-check your wiring. I personally dont like using single colored wiring for that specific reason. You might have something crossed. If you back out of the install and reconnect the trace that you cut the PSP should work as if nothing happened.

Luckily the PSP operates at a very low voltage so the damage should be minimal. Now if the wiring was not setup properly and you used the UP USB port to flash the chip the board may be fried. So just take the time to back out of the install and if it works give it another go or have a professional install it.

i dont have a camera right now and i really dont wanna open that mess back up. I think i just f%*(&#@ up the install. If i ever get a PSP again i think i will just leave it to the real pros to install. I hate myself right now.

Maby i need to setup a donation thing like some people have..... IDK... Im just soo mad right now.... i got sooo much other stuff to worry about and now this.. it just sucks...

Have you tried removing the wires from the board?

I would just remove all the mod chips parts from the PSP and put it back to how it was before the chip was installed to see if the chip you have is the problem?

Once the chip is removed it may power up!

well i wasnt going to just start taking PSP's. I would have waitd till now to tell people that i would be doing it. But i wont now. I would really be careful about who you let mess with your PSP. LOL
