ok. im now 2.6, grand theft auto is loading, and im about to open the thing in eloader. ill e typing as it does what it does.
just opened it. its flashing! :)
still flashing after a few seconds. beep beep beep (thats what it might sound like if it made beeping sounds when it flashed) :)
still flashing. this is taking too long. i might as well stop right now and go buy a ds or somthing awesome like that! no they really arent too awesome. i hope you dont consider this spam or anything. incase you do ill just stop right now.

I SEE SILLY LANGUAGES ok. i pressed O to fix somthing or somthing. its loading checking system settings.
uh oh. gta is in it, disc can not be read, i think it froze!no. what wahat! it says disc can not be read and i can move the bacground and stuff. ill turn off and on. off now.on now. better. i got to nickname in settings and i think it froze. yeah it just shut off.

Well So far Ive read everythings good so here I go. I remember downgrading my 2.00 to 1.50 back in September, that feeeeeelt sooooo gooooood. Now I swear I will never update again, I will now downgrade my 2.60 to the elusive 1.50 firmware. Wish me luck.

-Ok I don't have a TA-082 PCB. The writing is more to the left, I can't make out what it says, but its defenitly not in the right hand side like on the picture.

-Second. I am going to do a fresh install of the Eloader Bock and PSP firmware. As well as reformat of memory stick.

-Third. I could get the 1.50 files from my cousin, but Im impatient.

So yeah 1.50 here I come :)

In the instructions when it says in the root of the memory stick is it refering to mp_root?

ok what do i do? i downloaded this Downdater05_2.60 and wen i open it all i have is the eboot and it says DOWNGRADER/2.60/DOWNDATERTEST if you have 2.60 to /PSP/GAME/ in your memstick do i make up the folder?

no root is not MP ROOT but the psp drive, the same place as the psp folder.

to downgrade 2.01 you need to upgrade to 2.5/2.6 and then use the downgrader

and for folder trouble just use the link above...

Those days are finally back. Playing Pokemon Crystal on Rin, using ydictionary and PSPPDA to impress my friends. I have successfully downgraded. It was a struggle, though. My heart was pounding all while the memstick light was flashing. I just couldn't stop thinking, "Is it gonna break or what? . . . I wonder if my tea is done? (checks stove)".

However, something strange did happen that wasn't expected. My heart literally nearly leaped out of my chest when I came across a rather peculiar screen after the light stopped flashing. My PSP rebooted on it's own (yep, you read right, I didn't have to wait a minute or anything). It was a blue screen with multiple languages (my camera is broken for now, sorry can't post a pic). The English portion read something, like 'System information is currupted. Press O to restore to default settings.' So I did and I was then greeted with another reboot where I had to re-enter my PSP nickname, restore the time, and everything you would go through like when you got your PSP and turned it on for the first time.

Now I'm just gonna load devhook and some 1.5 homebrew and I'm set. BTW, I was originally on 1.5-my PSP is one of the older units.

it wont work, period. dont use it, it will brick your psp

yes as long as yours isnt TA 82 you can do the downgrade...

Hi, this is just to confirm that I have successfully downgraded my whole stock of 8 PSP's from all 2.01 and upgrading them to 2.6 and then downgrading them. Thank you FreePlay whom reminded me not to downgrade with eMenu installed. I know that there are a lot of confirmations that this is working but... posting my successful case wouldn't mind right? If this is consider spam, mods: please delete, sorry to cause any troubles.
