why can't TA-82 do downgrade if it still reads psp firmwares, does 1.5 require special hardware that's been removed?

no, the TA 82 hardware has been blocked from allowing it to run a 1.5 fw...

why would they do that if it was shipped with 2.0+ and is there a list of poor people who've bricked their psps from the older versions?

ok i successfully downgraded from 2.6 to 1.5

now, does anybody know if its safe to delete all the downdater files and **** in the root of the mem stick and the downdater eboot itself ?

isnt it downdater/eboot.php?

dosent matter, it is the eboot inside that does, the folder is just a place to put them, so you can have mutpul eboot.pbp files in one directory...

cause you cant have 2 eboot.pbp files in the GAME folder...

yes it is fine, you can totally format your memorystick, welcome to the world of 1.5

Been lurking these forums for almost a year.... i want to downgrade but i'm scared haha.... i don't see anyone saying brick, so far is it 100%?

i have a problem now, when i insert a umd it says the disk cannot be read

-any ideas??


dont worry i sorted it - i removed the battery for about 10 sec and it works fine again!

no, some have bricks, but that is there own fault...

if you have dont have TA 82 hardware, and you do have fw 2.5/2.6, and these files, you are set!
