Downdater UPDATE July 2: DOWNDATER_FINAL_AUTO released!!

I dont have one of them, my psp was a1.52 original i got it on the uk release date.

Yeah, I don't think it's bricked for anyone wihout TA-082...

i appreciate what theyve done but this is gonna be really bad for psp game sales beside grandtheft auto of course......this is actually gonna hurt the psp community...
.and i have a 1.5 psp for those who think im just player hating....i know for a fact because since i downgraded from a 2.00 psp 4 months ago i never bougth another psp game again... since i could get all of my entertainment for free ...now think about it all these people gonna downgrade to -> then pooooffff sales go dooowwnn the drain....sure its all good now but its like global warning it will come back to bite you in the a$#...me personally i could care less because well im one of the people that steal sony money with a 1.5 psp.so rock on now and feel the hung over later

Update to 2.5 then downgrade (duh)

There was this one guy who bricked his i think because his battery died or something

Just upgraded from 2.01 to 2.6 then downgraded to 1.5.

Haven't had a chance to test anything out but it was very easy overall...I have so much freakin' reading to catch up on now....

I used the exe on the first page of the thread to instal all on my memory stick, is it safe to proceed?

No it won't. For every Homebrew system, there are people who don't care for it and wants to play the latest PSP games. And besides, 1.5 are getting rare and all the newer system in the store right now will not work with the downgrader beause you'll end up with a brickPSP if you try to.

If any, this'll help Sony out even more since people are out there buying two systems. One for homebrew and another to play the PSP games.

well, it is not on the umd door, but inside the psp when you open the umd door.

as for the files, they are mine, and they work 100% as long as you dont have TA 82..

You have to look INSIDE the UMD drive for the text.

Haha, sorry dude. It's not on the UMD door, it's on the green circuit board that you can see a little bit of when you have your UMD door open and you're looking inside. Should be on the right if there are any numbers.

check your PSP Box (if you still have it) look to where the serial numbers are and you should see a letter indicating which version you have.

And when did you buy the system? this year or last summer?

we do not need to side track, this is a thread for helping with the downgrader, not disscussing outcomes of the downgrader...

btw I got it in april, with 2.01, I upgraded to 2.6 as the GTA loader worked w it

You see, I didn't have to worry about checking anything because my PSP was originally a 1.5 and I woke up one morning like a moron and upgraded to 2.5.

it doesnt matter, all eboot files are universal...

the files have been used to downgrade a jap, us, spanish, and german psp, and thats just the people that thanked me...

Worked like a charm. Original a 2.01 PSP but upgraded to 2.6 (EU). And then downgraded offcourse to 1.5.

Big thanks to everyone involved with the downgrader, and a big thanks to Deturbanator for helping everyone here, and for deploying the 1.5 dump.
