Downdater UPDATE July 2: DOWNDATER_FINAL_AUTO released!!

ok, a couple of questions:
1.How many bricked PSPs have there been with this downgrade method?
2.I had a factory 2.5 PSP, which i then upgraded to 2.6, is this ok to downgrade?

P.S. I do not have a TA-082 motherboard, just to let you guys know

How is this downgrader suppose to get any better. It seems like it has a 100% success rate. Are you going to add safety features that prevent it from bricking even if it does fail.

Damn thanks for the help deturbinator but since i only ever used eloader i never bothered to upgrade my 32mb card and therefore have to buy another one b4 i can do this downgrade :(:(:(:(

EDIT: what will happen if i try to execute a downgrade with less than 16mb free space??

Does anyone have some links to some really good homebrew stuff? I'm brand new to the 1.5 world

well, my method of compressing and storing the downgrader is better, but im sure there will be a few more saftey percautions like a battery chaeck, a AC check, and a screen that says "do not turn off or unplug psp"

yes it is fine to downgrade, amd with my method, there has been no bricks...

you will brick... some files will be made on the memstick, and if there is not enough space it will brick...

Just turn your PSP off the whole way and turn it back on, should fix it

no problem, I just wanted to create somthing with no brick, easy to use, and safe...

but, I guess for those same reasons I am gonna get banned for putting somthing illigal...

oh well, in my ban time, im gonna find every "thank you deturb" and keep it so I can smile in the future...

If you do get banned, it will be an injustice. You have helped so many people, it ain't even funny. I will boycott the ban if that is the case.

1) Copy the folder the DOWNGRADER/2.50/DOWNDATERTEST if you have 2.50
or DOWNGRADER/2.60/DOWNDATERTEST if you have 2.60 to /PSP/GAME/ in your memstick.
It's just a blank folder? what does the point of this folder serve?

2) Wait someone with 1.50 to pass you a folder called DOWNDATER and copy it to the root of your memstick.
ROOT being "F:\PSP"? or root being "F:\"?

Thanks, i ran PSPCrazy's .exe file unzipper, just wnat to make sure the files are in the right place.

WHY DOESN'T TA-082 work????? Isnt homebrew thorugh eloader using 1.5 files?? so why dont it work? PLEASE i havent got a answer yet... would it hurt to help someone who cant enjoy the day

I've got a 512 Mb MS turning up in the post over the next few days so that should be alright to use? Also is there any long term effects of downgrading?

Also will anyone be able to hook me up with a UK 1.5 update? If there is stutch a thing?

because sony made it so that hardware will not host the 1.5 firmware...

it was a saftey so they could aviod a downgrader...

yeah, you mem stick will be fine, no long term effects.

and by the update, do you mean dump?

or the actuall firmware update?
